The People's Choice is an award voted on by the people, what don't you understand about that, according to your video everything. There is also something called The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, which includes an Executive 750-member body of leading Web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities, and Associate Members who are former Webby Award Winners and Nominees and other Internet professionals. Your Peer to Peer that you wanted
@CCOGmedia09 Hi and thank you for commenting. I apologize for "comment approval". That was unintentional, but it enabled me to fix the settings just now to "open". CCOG, my complaint is with the idea of published standings while voting is in progress, such that voters can then go rally colleagues to go vote for given candidates. All I ask is that the Webbys close that loop -- as it simply invites abuse and FAIR CRITICISM. Are they popularity awards or achievement awards -- pick which.

This is about THE WEBBYS -- not vimeo. EDITORIAL: Webbys need to clean up their act, eliminate Ballot Stuffing, Open Standings, and Stop Encouraging Nominees to run Campaigns to solicit votes. Flawed as Ebay Feeback, not true "People's Choice" awards, but winners based on who campaigns most effectively to GET OUT THE VOTE. If that's what they want, fine.
CONTD----- But it's anything but prestigious to get a Webby based on their voting methodology. All one needs is relentless Re-tweets, "Vote for us" badges, and great PR director. This could easily be changed, and the Webbys made meaningful, just by closing the loopholes. The actual "PEOPLE'S CHOICE" entertainment awards know how to do it without ballot stuffing -- why can't the Webbys grow up after 15 years?
