I love kurt angle to bits and he is one of the greatest of all time, but is this olympic thing really gonna happen? I can see angle pulling out 4 weeks before the trials with some sort of excuse. I hate to question kurt but I have heard so much rubbish about kurt and ufc/mma that its hard to take him seriously, but if it is true then i hope u make the team kurt.
In due respect to Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage (RIP), Sting, Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and Triple H, Kurt Angle is a pure wrestler and a great performer. Although Savage never been wrestling collegiate level, he had an awsome character and personality and a class act, but for Hogan he always make money in pro wrestling which wonder why fellow wrestlers hate his guts.
It is too bad Kurt Angle wasted his youth with Fake wrestling when he could have been MMA training, who knows how good he could have been. On that note, I am sick of hearing him say how he would do in a real cage fight. Either get in the cage or shut up about it already.
@tmxman23 You have to remember, that back in 1996 (Just after Kurt won the gold) the UFC was still in its infancy, and its talent wasnt paid anywhere close to what they are these days.A move to pro wrestling probably made more sense for him financially.Kurt Angle would have been a champion in the ufc if he'd have taken that route though. His college wrestling would have ensured his sucess in that early ufc era (Just as it did for guys like mark Coleman, and Mark Kerr)
@MOTHIKAS I agree with you, financially he made more money doing what hes doing but.. big butt here- he needs to quit saying that he would have been this great fighter and giving excuses for why he never got in the cage. If he was ever going to really test himself he would have done it. He was a great wrestler.. but he will always be the Shoulda Woulda Coulda Guy in the bar. We will never know cause not every wrestler transitions into mma successfully.
i agree with mothikas, and also, you gotta admit that kurt is a tremendous personality and was perfect for the story-telling aspect of wwe. his decision to do pro-wrestling was the right move.
@jfuya2000 maybe maybe not- financially it probably was but there is more to life than a paycheck.. Reputation as a real fighter is more important to some people
If Kurt was in it...I would watch it

Dude Kurt sounds like he's on helium! His voice has lightened up quite a bit. Doesn't like he did back in 2006.
