Yes you need at least a sport pilot certificate to fly this aircraft, the only aircraft covered under FAR part 103 (the ones you don't need a license for) are 5 gallon single seat Ultralights. There is more information on this on the web just Google FAR part 103. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

@SR71pilot2007 You can fly with a certified instructor without a license until you get your training. After that you will have to take the tests and get your sports pilot license. See EAA.org

That is a private strip. Yes that is Darby Dan in Franklin County South West of Columbus.

That was great. I got lost when you used the photo album format, though. Where is that cement strip shown on minute 7:39 of the film? This is my neighborhood and I don't know that place.
