  • @nighthawk0077 I am not sure. Maybe others can chime in.

  • Lovely plane ,building one now myself

  • would someone need a license to fly one of these?

  • @SR71pilot2007

Yes you need at least a sport pilot certificate to fly this aircraft, the only aircraft covered under FAR part 103 (the ones you don't need a license for) are 5 gallon single seat Ultralights. There is more information on this on the web just Google FAR part 103. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @SR71pilot2007

Anyone who has common sense would get their license before flying anything on their own.

  • @motox94 i'm not too sure, the instructors have you solo before getting your license

  • @SR71pilot2007 You can fly with a certified instructor without a license until you get your training. After that you will have to take the tests and get your sports pilot license. See EAA.org

  • I took my first flying lesson on this airfield in 1969 in a C-150. I love the Challenger

II. Hoping to have one soon. Keep flying!!!.............

  • Re: the cement strip...Is that Darby Dan?

  • That is a private strip. Yes that is Darby Dan in Franklin County South West of Columbus.

  • That was great. I got lost when you used the photo album format, though. Where is that cement strip shown on minute 7:39 of the film? This is my neighborhood and I don't know that place.

    Thanks...waiting for more.
