  • excellent video, all great and the bass player is Hot!!

  • Oh, a much longer video of the trout swimming in the limpid waters would not have gone amiss at the end!!!

What a perfect evening it must have been that evening in Dubrovnik in 2005. Wish I could have been there! I marked this video as "Incredible". Why? Don't ask me, but probably for its combination of finesse and exuberance.

  • Waiting for god theme.

  • Where can i get this dvd recording??

  • Simply said, bliss.

You are all very gifted and gave this young man a great moment. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

  • female version of Langlang (in terms of acting)

  • Nice interpretation of the Trout. I've always wondered how this piece would be received if it was in 4 movements as opposed to 5. To me the end of the 4th movement is a perfect ending to the piece. Nonetheless it's gorgeous music.

  • Tempo is a bit frantic for my tastes. I think the whimsical character of the movement suffers. It is very difficult to play slowly :)

  • excellent!

  • Theme from? I don't get it

  • @MrWardestr0yer

This is NOT Schubert! It is the theme from Fawlty Towers, idiots.

  • @PolkiSaNajlepsze yes it is schubert. he wrote this composition in 1819 and it's based on a lied he wrote in 1817 called "die forelle"

  • @MrWardestr0yer Faulty Towers is a british comedy about a man who runs a hotel. Worth checking out, and yes I do believe it's the theme xD

  • This is a fantastic dog of a performance, IMO. As a baseline, I implore you to listen to the Richter and Borodin Quartet's most refined interpretation of "Trout".

  • Amazing how the same number of people give me negative votes each time.

  • piano player is very beautiful <3

  • They're all excellent. No weak link here. Even the pageturner is the business

  • ¡gracias, por permitirnos escuchar el quinteto completo!!!

  • Yes. How about Stacy Keach, the actor?

  • Who?

  • This rocks socks

  • THE PIANO PLAYER FEELS IT IN HER SOUL

  • Thats what he said

  • IF only this was louder I would headbang

  • Positively radiant ensemble playing with

    delicacy and passion! Outstanding!!!

  • Great rock n roll finale.

    Thank you.

  • I haven't got the musical knowledge to express this in the right way but does the Cellist make a mistake at 3:14?

It sounds like he begins to play the piece he plays at 3:44.

It's not played like that here:

    /watch?v=hNZENADxGCY

    3 mins 19 secs

  • no mistake, they just didn't take the repeat to the beginning again.

  • WOW ... this is one of the best performances I have heard of the Trout. That pianist definitely has a future! What happened to the 'cello and bass in the repeat (or the da capo -- don't have the music in front of me presently)? Oh well; haven't we all at some point in our performance career!

  • haha i thought i was the only one who caught that

  • Thanks for posting all five movements. Absolutely superb!

  • Fantastic performance!

  • Theme From "Waiting For God" BBC, Loved It!

  • @studentgaragesale The idiot Baines...

  • You don't play this, you breathe it - it has to be in your soul.... measured, tempered, balanced, yet each part with promise and anticipation of what might come.... Not bad for a fish.....

  • The piano player doesnt just play she PLAYS with feeling that shows a good piano player ( i think) thank you for putting this on as i am learning to play on the piano and it helped me know what the song sounded like

  • marvellous, fantastic performance

  • just the right balance between piano and strings too.

  • very beautiful, thank you for the feast
