it's a vauxhall astra 1.4 base with the engine left in and called a generator! the batteries are almost as expensive as the car and last 2 to 3 years. It costs far more to run, service, insure, tax and use than a turbo diesel. It only does 40miles on a full charge or you use the 1.4 petrol engine. Old toyota technology, no one wants them here in the UK.
A beautiful car. I like the body styling of the Ampera more than the Volt. Under the skin they are the same car. These vehicles will really change the automotive world. Most people don't understand the significance of what's about to hit them. In 10 years time EREV's will be half the cars sold. You heard it hear first.
