@mvaterjr I dont know how you could say that. The Miata has one of the most stiff and sturdy chassis' of all production cars. If LS series swaps are common place in the Miata world a 2jz swap wouldnt be anything spectacular.

Please dont make this an argument of how much better the 2jz is than every V8 ever made...that argument is played out. Fact is, a Miata can handle a stock 2jz for as long as you want to push it.

In a miata, a 2JZ swap would be only good as a show car.

The miata is a lightweight car, anything over 300hp on the chassis is a handful.

The car was built to handle like a go-kart.

A Miata with its 1.8/2.0 motor, built and boosted is the perfect machine for autoX and road courses.

Go to any AutoX or road course and what do you see at the top of the standings?

Miata's.

They are cheap, dead reliable, and very light.
