@DeathByCoco He did say in the intro video for this game that there is a rule book. It looks kind of small to me but it's all up to you. I haven't played this before but I think it's like the Warhammer 40k quick reference thing.

It would be nice if you went over the rules at least because I know nothing about this game. It looks cool but "This moved and did damage to that" is pretty boring when I don't know how the hell things are done.

Epic Duck Mike? I'm sorry but that name is funny. It's really hard to take serious. As for this vid, I am interested in starting my own fleet. Cause it reminds me of the sci fi space battles I have seen in great anime's like Crest of the Stars, Space Battleship Yamato and most of all, Legend of the Galactic Heroes. All great stuff.

@royalpain88 They come unpainted, the firestorm forums has some interesting paint jobs on it.

"Ships within 4" radius of the cenre of the exploding ship are attacked with a number of D6 = to Double the hil points of the exploding ship, affects ALL ships and WINGS - Friend or Foe"

The Rules are quite clear on those two rulings, also you should assume that a wing that has somehow managed to survive the exploding ship to be driven off, and cannot have PD used against them that turn.

I NOTICED that this game charges 50 bucks per started set. BAD move....why are they playin' the WE ARE GW and charge OUTRAGEOUS prices for pieces of metal?! BAAAAD move...new games should always start smaller and THAN curve up with supply and demand...but there will be NO demand for this expensive game...non at all.

@theclash24 The difference between this game and GW in general is that you can play a fully-functional game with that $50 investment. In Warhammer you'd be lucky to get a single troop choice for that price.

@theclash24 The only problem with that assumption is that you actually have no idea the costs that go into a miniature war game. The $50 is actually a great price considering all that you are getting.

I don't want to really continue an argument based on price alone, as most people have no clue as to the economics of running a company, never mind running a miniature wargaming company.

@theclash24 This game is Stupid cheap, seriously, one starter Box goes a long way its £32 here for a starter box, and has enough points for a full sized game, not to mention you can add tactic points to get alot more points into them, or make custom ships using models from elsewhere.

Not to mention, these are really really detailed models, with excellent casting and i can honestly say they have a great customer service, if you have 1 broken model they give you a full squad to say sorry.

Well, THQ got the rights to HomeWorld from Sierra. And it has been comfirmed they're working on three PC projects, one of which is the new Dawn of War expansion. So who knows. ^_^

@miniwargaming Problem. Sierra has been bought by Activision as Relic is a part of THQ. One is a distributor and the other the publisher. ecause of this split, there may never be another homeworld. Shame there isn't a homeworld miniature game.

It's especially the small and newer games I'm interested in seeing. If I want a WH40K / Fantasy or Warmachine game, I just need to go to my LFGS and watch the guys there. And seriously guys, real time battle reports... you might as well have a game yourselves instead of watching someone play on youtube for 2 1/2 hours.. right?

This game was really interesting, but I might still stick with Battlefleet Gothic.
