Does this game have the usual gay time limit that all Paradox cames are bugged with? I don't want a hot war suddenly to end cause a dimwit programmer at Paradox figures I've had enough fun and it's time to end the party for no reason.
@Donetsk777 Some things they did do good though, I think the ability to delegate as many or as few tasks as you want to the AI is a great concept because it lets you ease new people into the game.
Actually, the game is much more playable now then it was at release. Plus people who have been playing the beta version of the 1.4 patch have told me that it fixed allot of issues. Also, In case you don't know HOI 2 was also really buggy at release. Odds are that by the time the first expansion for HOI 3 is released the game will replace HOI 2 as the undisputed king of WW 2 simulators/games.
That is because they have no intentions to fix something that isn't broken. People on the forums have complained about the game begin ahistorical loads of times and every single time Paradox responded by saying that the game was never intended to be world war 2 simulator but rather as a World war 2 sandbox game. Their were some things that did not make much sense however, but Paradox has been fixing those in their patches (no longer will we have to watch Mexico invade France!).
@KKarron tactical instead of strategic? Can you explain what it is you mean in more detail? I am not sure what it is that you mean exactly. The huge number of provinces allows the player to do things he could never do in HOI 2. Invading a nation now actually requires planning instead of just throwing large amounts of units at the AI. You are the first person I have seen to date that is actually complain about this.
@sveinndagur In the sense you are taking over tactical command rather than strategic thanks to the amount of provinces. It's not inherently a bad thig, of course, I just don't like it. The battles themselves should simulate tactical clashes rather than have the player manage hundreds of small tactical battles in unimportant provinces. It's a matter of preference I guess.
Im order this game today i hope that will better than HoI3 ;)

I think there are mods that turn off the time limits. This game looks cool though.

Timelimit is now defined on each scenario, meaning you can easly change it yourself if you want it to be longer or shorter.

This game is awesome, i prefered hoi2 over hoi3 and this is what i wanted hoi3 to be.

Basicly, you guys are pioneers of this whole new area - Fan made official expansions!
Marvelous job, from what I can tell. I really hope you make good sales, sadly that's what counts the most.

@Donetsk777 Actually, For the Glory: A Europa Universalis Game was the first '"fanmade official expansion" as you call it.:p

Any history fan's wet dream )))
what a disappointment HoI 3 was, just terrible, though I do not blame Paradox. The game was released way too soon, happens to most games.
Also, map was very poorly done, EU3 model did not work, sadly (((

@sveinndagur HoI3, however, is nowhere near historical. And even with expansion or two, I don't think they can fix it.

@sveinndagur Not to mention the fundamental flaws of both 3D and putting in so many provinces it becomes tactical instead of strategic.

As much as I like HOI3 for its potential, the state of the game right now is horrible.
AoD looks more like what I am looking for.
Improved economics!? Yay, finally! :D
Also, grand campaign runs until year 2003.
