Someone must have missed the story about the Titanic, when the captain said,"Not even God Himself can sink this ship". Well, when you use God's name in vain like it's no big deal, you're setting yourself up for failure...
Repent... respect God, or reap the consequences (Exodus20:7)...
these guys helped me to create personal opinion about what i see around me....fuck!!!this planet stinks and we gotta do something!!!LONG LIVE PROPAGANDHI
@vandalinside Same here, except I don't think they rock anymore. Love the politics, still support them, but to me Propagandhi just wasn't the same after John K Samson left.
@vandalinside I wish I could still skate, I'm 30 and I first heard this band in the 8th grade, I think I was maybe 14. Its too bad my knees don't carry the same passion that my mind and heart do otherwise I would still be skating. 2 surgeries later and I'm happy that I can still walk. Keep the dream alive dude.
ya i saw propagandhi without the old school bass player they came to the rock in Tucson they fucking kicked ass. intelligent as fuck guys!! i was the youngest kid there i was only twelve i stage dove twice and crowd surfed to the back the guitar played told me to thrash the hardest i ever have in my life. awesome stage presence. they get very involved with the crowd.
Actually, the album title "Less Talk, More Rock" was Propagandhi poking fun at themselves, since a good chunk of their set does, or did, involve lengthy political rants.
blackgardenmutinies! Well said. Less Talk, More Rock... If you look at that title in a hating way like: They had a whole song where a fucker talked on the CD! Isn't that talk?!
But no, the name is more a political term to wake up and stop discussing bullshit and get to action and crush hypocricy. For the record with 6 billion believes I don't believe in one solution for everyone, thats one of my reasons I support anarchism :)
This is very early days (92-93). Good to c a band for once not brandishing tatts (the new fluro) but still have finger on pulse. It's what u say n do not how u look fkrs. Integrity. Wish they'd just play though, n not shit on as much. (a good sign of sht musicians fillin time). We know what they believe in thats why where here. Just fkn play mf!
U want less talk more rock? hmm ive heard that sumwhere before...oh yes, but they were taking the piss. What about all the new kids who dont know what they believe in? what about all the old kids who got stuck in their ways of blind rhetoric? I reckon u want a whole lotta talk, discussion and opinionated rants, if we all just think we know what they believe in and go along with it we're no longer an free-thinking individual, more 'revolutionary subordinates' - we gotta keep listening and...
questioning, we got 6billion opinions and each one has a thousand ideas that are probably sumway contradictory to yours, so keep the talk coming, or we'll stagnate.
love the music, agree with some of the politics. chris definitely sharpened up over time though. the lyrics have become more intelligent and less preachy.
i seen them live back in winter 2001 they came to Glace Bay, Nova Scotia it was fuckin sweet. I love how they will play at small towns and small buildings rather than playing at big major concert spots and major citys only.
wooooo I lurve old propagandhi. How to Clean Everything was one of the first true punk albums I ever heard. I still listen to it constantly. Not a single song I don't like. fuck I wish I got to see old propagandhi live :(
I'm proud to be from the same province as them =) I was fucking amazed when i found out they're from Manitoba.
