Vote for Ha long Bay (Halong) in English as the new Seven Wonder of Nature on wwwnew7wonderscom (there is a dot in wn and sc for this link, comments on YouTube do not show the dot in the URL, you add the dot in the URL and paste in the browser to get to their wesite to vote). You have to register to vote on their website until 11.11.2011. Our country, Vietnam, brings this wonderful bay to the world. It's the only one found in nature.

Other interesting stuff about Phong Nga
This is where the Ho Chi Minh Trail crossed the river and subsequently is the most bombed part of Vietnam during the vietnam war.
Ho Chi used to store his aresnal in the other big cave nearby and the fighter pilots used to fly up the river trying to shoot bombs into the mouth of the cave before pulling into a vertical climb to avoid the cliffs above.
Oh and Bics mum shot one of the fighter planes down...lol great place to visit

So the one thing you failed to mention is that my buddy Ben and his wife Bic who is from Phong Nga have opened a guest house so people can visit this amazing cave region of Vietnam. Very friendly and as I understand at the time of writing the only westerner in the village. Look for Phong Nga Farmstay on Facebook.
