Also, a great number of women (and men) are bisexual and may venture one way or the other depending on circumstances; bisexuals do not have the social support that gays and lesbians have, and they often get derided by both straights and gays (my ex-girlfriend is bisexual and felt this way).

Sadly the interview does seem rather juvenile. Sometimes the Ladies' schtick works with other guests very well, but it just turned to be very disjointed here and left the hosts looking awkward and ignorant. Jennifer Beals handles herself beautifully as usual even though I'm sure she must have been totally pissed off by the end. No wonder you don't see her on the talk show curcuit often! There are no words for Elizabeth Hasselbeck (whatever her name is) I leave it to Kathy Griffin to explain her stupidity which is brutal and hilarious. I am so fed up with hearing this "religious people are so..." crap. I'm a church going Christian, and I'm not "curious". I have a gay brother and love him very much. I get pretty defensive about people making fun of the GL(etc) community, because my brother was tortured in high school for being gay, before he even came out. If you don't like someone making rude comments about homosexuals, then you need to stop stereotyping "religious" people. We have a right to worship freely, thank God.

That Sherri and Elisabeth cuddle at the beginning was not only embarrassing to watch, it was extremely patronising. And then the questions they asked... dreadful. I was quite happy to see both Jennifer and Cybill not stoop to the level of the View ladies, no matter how much they tried to get them to answer their ridiculous questions.

Sadly the interview does seem rather juvenile. Sometimes the Ladies' schtick works with other guests very well, but it just turned to be very disjointed here and left the hosts looking awkward and ignorant. Thankfully, Jennifer is a very eloquent and educated woman, and she handled it very gracefully. Still love "the View" though...this is just one of those interviews that was a clear and definite " miss", sigh...

Thats because she doesn't want anybody to see her if you know what I mean. She puts on a face and moulds into something different. I f people had a really good idea of who she was, then her life could be judged, and we all know how private she likes it to be. She has captured the art of eloquence and neutrality togeter that seem to be so central to her interview technique. Sometimes she can be such a tease though have you noticed. Like most people it probably depends on her mood.

BTW, I believe I said that ALL the women were being honest. Why is it only okay to be honest if your either left or right? Why can't we all be open minded to both sides? I think that Sherri made all of the stupid comments and the "blonde one" only mentioned that even straight women love the show. That would seem to be a positive thing, and she's the right-winger! I guess she asked about the difference between kissing a man vs a woman, but that sounded like a card item. Joy started that ugly lesbian crap. That was really weird, but still honest I guess.
