  • hulk is kinda a good guy

  • yeah i cantbelive thatandre huge giant

  • nice pretty good move hulk

  • @TheTylerBeast1 hulk hogan did take steriods he admited to it but Mr double killer is right cause Batista took steroids to and he could barely lift a 300 pound guy

  • @mrdoublekiller so your saying you can just walking into a ring and pick up 540 pounds

  • when hulk hogan slams andre it just proves he took steroids

  • @TheTylerBeast1 Yes, we know Hogan was on steroids. There's no need to poiint that out. We get it.

  • @TheTylerBeast1 did you know that steroids do not give you strenght but make you able to lift more weights? Probably not so shut the fuck up

  • @TheTylerBeast1 not really its possible to do that without them

  • Ass slam at 1:02 XD

  • Hogan's most famous match! And André as well despite he lost.

  • 8:27 - now THAT is a REAL crowd!

  • 7:45

  • You'd think the script would call for Andre trying to pin Hogan at least once during the pounding session.

  • That slam isnt so unique since Ultimate Warrior slammed Andre too

  • @evilTaker90 Yeah, but the Ultimate Warrior was kinda the Ultimate Dick.

  • @evilTaker90 Well, it was the first time it had ever happened to him, and hadn't lost a match in 15 years at the time!

  • @SJMJ91 Actually Hulk wasnt the first person to slam Andre.put this in the search box: ''The Improved Tribute to the men who have bodyslammed Andre the Giant!'' Andre was slammed first time in Japan in 1972

  • Listen to that pop at 7:52 when Hogan finally gets Andre off his feet. Back when working was an art, it was the little things like this that could bring people to their feet. Now workers today are more worried about how many moves they can do in a match, or risking their lives with stupid stunts.

  • Andre was huge, but he sure had some skinny arms relative to his size.

  • at 7:07 you can hear Andre yelling "Slam!" to Hulk. On an interview on The Voice VS, Hulk said that Andre yelled that a couple times at him, and I'm pretty sure this is one of the two places where Andre calls a shot...

  • What does Jesse say at exactly 8:37, RIGHT after the 3-count?

I know Gorilla says "It's OVER!" But Jesse's saying something UNDERNEATH him. It's hard to make out.

Then again, with an epic ending like this, the commentary is secondary, as great as the commentary is.

  • @TheUnexplained89 Definitely a transfusion at the Chuck Norris Blood Bank.

  • Apparently Hogan tore a muscle somewhere in his chest by slamming Andre.

  • R.I.P Andre.

  • @SJMJ91 When did he die?

  • @AmazingOnes45 January 1993 :(

  • Hogan's most famous moment!

    8:21 - 8:48 gives me chills!

  • Lol WWE Logo how

  • Before PPV ruined wrestling just like it did boxing lol.

  • the best of the bests, the best on eage of hulk hogan

  • Does it get any better than this???????? I dont think so!!!!!

  • I still haven't forgiven the WWF...excuse me, WWE for not showing this in Michigan. I understand them wanting to fill the seats of the Silverdome, but the rest of us were screwed. We missed out on some real history. Thanks, Vince. :-/

  • Goldberg jackhammering the giant was even better than this.

  • @AdreasTheGreat Warrior probably slammed him at his heaviest because he slammed him (I think in England?) around 88 or 89. Andre was as big then if not bigger plus clearly not as agile.

  • I love the convenient ignoring of the count out rule. Joey Morella was only up to 4 when Hogan had been on the floor for 10 seconds already. Then they were on the floor for a total of 45 seconds, but Morella had apparently re-started the count because he was only at 6 when they got back in the ring. And there were people who thought this was real?

  • How did we not see this shit was scripted and staged? These wrestlers are all actors. What a way to fool us lol

  • @peopleschamp21 Maybe YOU didn't know it was staged, but just about everyone I knew back then knew it was all a show.

  • I remember Hogan talking about the slam (I think it was on the Tonight Show.) He said they weren't going to do the slam cuz of Andre's health, but during the match Andre told him to do it. Hogan said he ripped out the entire right side of his back muscle doing it, and to this day that side of his back muscle is smaller than the left side. Legendary match.

  • fucking goosebumps!!!!

  • man, his neck hit the rope when he got clotheslined, could have seriously hurt his neck

  • how tall was andre?

  • @youngdrummer3 i beleive 7 foot 3

  • lol slamheard round the world

  • Brings back a lot of memories

  • Da good old days

  • incrivell

  • RIP Andre

  • I miss these days. back when we thought wrestling was real.

  • this was the night that andre the giant passed the torch to hulk hogan and hogan ran all the way to greatness with that torch by wrestling some of the greatest wrestlers of all time the body slam that hulk hogan gives to andre the giant will echo throughout time and forever be a big part of wrestling history but in my opinion i think this might be andre's finest moment in wrestling even though he lost the match but the savage vs steamboat match stold the show at wrestlemaina 3

  • Epic moment!!

  • the bodyslam that made Hogan a legend and wrestling a worldwide phenomenom

  • good legendary match, this match gave us the " body slam heard around the world"

  • andres hands are huge

  • This was the start of true wrestlemania matches. This is what wrestlemania is all about. Overcoming great challenges, and becoming champion

  • Hugfest 3

  • Gorilla Monsoon, Jessie Ventura, Bobby Heenan. best WWE commentators.

  • I'm a huge WWF fan (well until just after it became WWE) and I'm sorry but that accidental "headbutt" against the ring post was so fake!

  • R.I.P. Andre!

  • Worlds biggest body slam. Cena you have nothing on this

  • @nickmeer Ya i don't think slamming Big Show was anything like slamming Andre

  • @WrestlerFRK09 Haha a fireman's Cary isn't that hard i mean on big show maybe but a body slams harder

  • @nickmeer its not like he's the only one who uses a fireman's cary

  • @TheSHN61 I know this but it's not that hard espesily when your supposed to be able to squat alot

  • @WrestlerFRK09 u are right andre was 530 lb at that time, that means 50lb heavier than big show.none else could slam andre except hogan!

  • @AdreasTheGreat Andre had been slammed numerous times before. Harley Race and even Hulk Hogan had slammed him before this event. (There are a few others but I dont know off the top of my head, thinking Stan hansen and maybe Ernie Ladd) I think the only 2 things that make this stand out is 1)Its rumored that Andre was at his heaviest at this time (with wrestling weights we truly dont know for sure) and 2) It was on the biggest stage and event of all.

  • @AxlAnderson u are right warrior and also slammed him but was much lighter(maybe 80lb) and better shape then but none slammed him when was so heavy and big.andre wasn't only big but had unbelievable nature power. i remember a match vs king kong(460lb billed weight) and lift him and through him in the cage like a little child and of course cage collapse!i watch wrestling about 25 years live and i never saw so strong guy like andre.

  • Was there to see it happen.

  • Regarding ALL the controversy about wrestling being "fake," WHO CARES?! It's called ENTERTAINMENT or ESCAPISM! In my opinion, what you see in the WRESTLING RING is NO DIFFERENT than what you see in the MOVIES. Are the DINOSAURS in the Jurassic Park series "real"-or "fake?" Is the SHARK used in the Jaws series "real"-or "fake?" Are the "FIGHT" scenes in martial arts and action/adventure movies "real"-or "fake?" Are VEHICLE "CRASHES" in the movies or on T.V. "real"-or "fake?"

  • @AngelofAnguish the moves and blows in pro wrestling are usually real! you're wrong! inmovies people don't hurt each other intentionally but in wrestling many do!

  • @AngelofAnguish True. However there was a time when it was claimed that wrestling was real. This is no longer the case so the controversy should now be long gone.

  • @AngelofAnguish plus the shit that they do still hurts, read any wrestlers book and they talk about how wrestling is looked at as fake, but the pain and injury they endure is 100% real...when someone jumps off a ladder through a table, thats fake? how is that fake he just jumped from 20 feet through a table and smacked the ground, that is not fake.....and for anyone who thinks it is, watch Mankind vs Undertaker hell in the cell and tell me its fake, or hardy boyz vs edge/christian vs dudley boyz

  • @AngelofAnguish what you see in a wrestling ring is different than what you see in movies lol just because its scripted does'nt mean the moves don't hurt, in most moves they do actually hit each other but just not too their full strength or power.

  • @AngelofAnguish true but wrestling today suck it feels like ur watching alot of ameaturs wrestling WWF was the shit

  • @AngelofAnguish yes but people think that it's real fights... please explaine that is all a funny games

  • It just shows what a guy andre was - the pain he was in and the fact that he dropped the title to hogan - no ego whatsoever not like hogan - R.I.P big man a true wrestling legend!

  • @glasgowbhoy1980 Andre wasn't the champ but I get your point. Like Vince always said "nobody was going to make Andre do something he didn't want to do"

  • I DON'T JERK OF F TO WRESTLERS ANMD YOU'RE RETORT IS ASSININE FUCK OFF AND DIE! MOTHER FUCKER!

  • 0:46 you can see andre is in pain

  • 6:40 what a real headbutt xD

  • 8:26 my favorite moment in the history of Pro Wrestling other than RVD beating Cena at One Night Stand 2006

  • Rest In Peace

    André the Giant

    1946-1993

  • Andre was still in pretty good shape at this point, minus the back problems..Good to see him when he was at the top. I mean, I put on about 20-25 pounds over the last few years and my back isn't quite the same, I can only imagine what a man his size went through.

  • 8:26 The loudest crowd you ever heard in your whole live!!!

    93.173 screaming hulkamaniacs!!

    THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE!

  • @msgflow yea, no1 cant top that!

  • @msgflow 65th today.......RIp big guy.

  • @msgflow I got chills.

  • Andre The Giant was the Big Show of the 80s.

  • @SJMJ91 More like Big Show is the Andre of today.

  • @grandp83 Yeah true lol

  • @SJMJ91 Andre was Andre mate. The Big Show does not compare even in the slightest. That night was wrestlings pinnacle.

  • what was this called at the end, cuz i know it wasnt called wwe

  • If this PPV happen today what would people think of it? I mean for the moment when this happen it was monumental bigger the anything else. I just wonder how a match w/ this build up and match would fair today....

  • @evxdaddy alot better then most matches today i would think so far recently the only 2 matches that had a lot of hype and actually lived up to the hype was both Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels matches at Wrestlemania 25 and 26 other than that they rarely bother to build up matches

  • @lockervet what about Stone Cold vs The Rock

  • Andre the giant bodyslam = 900 EXP Points.....Congratulations, you gave gone up a level

  • typical hulk hogan match: boring, overrated, lack of wrestling abilities

  • i hate the GIANT

  • the cowboys-giants game last year had over 100,000 people last year and it was indoors.

  • Andre the Giant is Big Shows father, god rest Big Shows father's soul.

  • @GTAmissions1011 that was a story line, it isnt real

  • @GTAmissions1011 Andre the Giant is not Big Show's (Paul White) father. Paul White was discovered by Terry Bolea (Hulk Hogan) during the early '90's at WCW's PowerPlant.

  • hahaha "Andre hit one of the posts!" Yeah right. How can anyone call this entertainment?

  • @luka4003 it wasn't rigged to do so that is why.

  • the wrestling in this match is so terrible but when hogan hulks up the crowd pops louder than any crowd in the history of wrestling for about 5 minutes straight at least! This is what mcmahon is trying to get back to

  • Jesse says "don't let this end in a count out" as they are on the floor at 6:29. They get back in at 7:35. That is a long 10 count by the ref. The Count from Sesame Street must have been going crazy watching it at home. I've counted to 10, 6 times, ah ah ah ah.

  • I gave this a dislike because hogan wasnt talented and andre undervalued

  • u cant call urself a true fan of this sport if you havent seen this match. this is one of the greastest matches in the history of professional wrestling

  • @abyssfan4ever unless ur a gay pg wwe fan

  • @jeffhardyRATM360 yes but this is classic and great proffesional wrestling. this is worth every penny for a ticket or ppv on tv. this is wen wrestling meant something up to about 2008

  • Apparently, Hogan tore a muscle around where his liver is when he slammed André!

  • @SJMJ91 hogan tore his muscles in his back to shreds

  • I lmao when andre lifted his feed

  • So what you're saying is, Hogan's body slam was LEGIT?! Holy...

  • There is no way hogans gonna HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nevermind

  • "We're seeing what this guy is really made of, what he is: the greatest professional athelete in the world today - LOOK AT THIS!" Then the most memorable moment in wrestling history (in the ring) happened!

  • 8:27 still give me the goosebumps every time I see this......wow

  • Well khali could maybe do it since hes 400 lbs and not 500 like big show, but still khali isnt near as strong as he looks since he roided out the ass. So no Khali could not. Also because khali is a fucking klutzz and botches every move he does. Hes not coordinated enough. If he tried to dead lift andre and then when turning him over, he would drop andre on his head and kill him, yes he can half do the move but not the full body slam. Plus andre would be dead.

  • @MichaelMyers87 you say khali is could not do it because hes roided but you seem to forget how roided hogan was and still is i saw a vid of him be4 roids and the guy was un believably skinny, like a 14 year old kid, but iguess hogan is your childhood hero anyway

  • I mean in the wwf/wwe anyways. Well yes there is one other person, Mark Henry in his prime level of strength. Big Show coudnt because he himself is too heavy. He has to hold his own weight up while lifting up 525 lbs of dead weight which supports itself once up top with one arm and not 2, leaving show to lift his own body and andres. Big Show would flat out drop andre and get crushed. Same with Great Khali, hes too heavy.

  • But yea Warrior had nothing on Hogan in terms of brute strength back then. But yea it was so hard for hogan to dead lift slam andre that he has back problems because of it and had to get surgery that also made him like half an inch shorter or so. Hogan might be the only person who could have ever dead lifted and slammed someone like andre when they were only barely supporting themselves on the lifters legs.

  • And it was so hard for hogan to do that yes he has a hole in his back muscles because of it. That is what hogan had to accomplish in order for andre to job to him.

  • When Warrior slammed andre he jump up into the slam and then when warrior would be turning him over andre would use both his arms to hold himself up since warrior COULD NOT by himself without andre help, otherwise hed have been killed by andre crashing down on him. Hogan however picked andre up without andre jumping, and andre barely supported himself.

  • Ultimate Warrior would have broke his back trying to dead lift andre for a body slam. But Hogan did in this match. Andre told Hogan the only way hed job to him is if hogan could slam him without andre jumping up a bit into the slam. And andre didnt even really support himself on hogans legs. He was supposed to use both arms on hogans legs when hogan had him up, but andre coudnt get one around so andre had to try to hold his girth up with one arm which he coudnt do.

  • Hard part

s slamming andre when he dont jump up a bit and not make his opponont actually have to lift 525 lbs of dead weight off of the ground which already takes all their might, and then when their about to fall down from botching the move, and turn that 525 dead weight upside to drop it.

  • Most the work was done by andre himself when warrior would slam him. Once Andre was in the air, all warrior had to do was put him down.

  • Only way warrior could slam the Andre was as long as andre helped out by jumping and putting his arms/weight on his oponents legs when he was going upside down. I seen a clip of Ultimate Warrior slamming him just now, but andre basicaly JUMPED up and Warrior didnt even lift him off the ground and Andre was the one holding HIMSELF up with his arms on warriors

     legs.

  • Ultimate Warrior slammed Andre way easier than Hogan did. But Hogan has a hole in his back muscles from this slam. The roaring of the crowd was so monstrously loud, that the mics violently distorted.

  • Apparently a countout in this match was 4 minutes, not 10 seconds.

  • listen to Hulkamania go wild as Hogan body slams Andre the Giant. CLASSIC

  • those ropes arent that tight

  • what does ufc have to do with wether or not this is fake?

  • why exactly would you think its fake?

  • @keysjf I'll answer your question with one of my own; you don't watch UFC do you?

  • legit or fake, you gotta admit, when hulk slammed andre, the crowd went bonkers

  • legit or fake give me a break. I watched it live. thats a moron statement sir.

  • @keysjf and how is this a moron statement? i want to know

  • Andre headbutted the post

  • This match and hogan vs rock are my all time favorite i just love how the crowd is so into the macthes !

  • 7:15 was by far the most poorly executed spot I've ever seen.

  • i liked Hogan's chances of pile driving Andre there.

  • the only reason this is one of the best matchs of all time its because of the body slam take the slam out then it is just in ordernary match forgive for my spelling

  • I heard André had back problems in this match in not sure that's what i heard

  • Andre needed back surgery, he was in so much pain, but he still did this match for Hogan. Hogan talks about it all the time in any of his interview's about Andre.

  • @Juliz hogan is a liar andre didn't do this primarily for hogan he got paid a million dollars!

  • how many faking was there?

  • Duh, unleashed, the whole thing is fake, it's a show, entertaiment. You're right though it is a great match, one the top 10 ever, in my opinion.

  • @wrestledon: Who the fuck cares about your views or opinions? Andre was at the end of his run in the wrestling business, and other superstars were trying to rise to the top. And Warrior was not in the WWE for a year, it was for 4 1/2 years. Andre's health was declining because of his acromegaly, as I have read other people's comments about him. So don't bother enlightening me with your philosophy, history, etc. about wrestling asswipe!

  • I remember watching this ppv when I was a kid in '87. AFfer his feud with Hogan, Andre had a short feud with the Intercontinental champion the Ultimate Warrior. Warrior's the second person to body slam Andre after Hogan.

  • u obviously dont know so let me enlighten u warrior did not care about anyone or anything apart from himself he does not care 4 the wrestling business he does not have any respect 4 the wrestling business he was in it 4 himself 4 the $ he who the hell gets in 2 the wrestling business 4 about a year and tries 2 embarrass andre the giant who built a legacy of 16 years warrior is a upright selfish basterd

  • 6:39 sooo fake(you guys have to admit it) but still a great match!

  • andre brought the house down at 7:20 nasty reversal

  • HulkHogans the Best LEGEND ever.

  • that's an obvious faking spectacle, LOL

  • Wow, I thought a countout was 10 seconds, not 487 seconds.

  • pause at 2:46 yah c when andre backhands hogan, tht same picture is in da wwe wrestlemania magazine yah noe wiht all da differnt manias!

  • nice chop huh

  • That backdrop had to have hurt Andre so bad given how bad of shape his back was in.

  • 8:26 truly the world strongest slam

  • 6:20 and 6:40 and 7:53 OMG totaly failed =DDDD

  • Comment removed

  • i swear i only heard the ref tap twice?

  • wwf was the best back in the day, even up to stone cold steve austin wrestling was awsome. after stone cold left, wrestling went to shit.

hulk back in the day was fucking awsome!!!

  • don't forget about The Rock

  • No, when Hulk left the WWF, Stone Cold needed to shine some light, but it wasn't him that shone that light. See without Andre there wouldn't be Warrior,Savage Hogan. Without Taker there wouldn't be a Stone Cold or Rock

  • Wow!, Hulk Hogan is really strong!

  • Yeah, when you use steroids...

  • lol that was a good one!

  • Its to bad andre was at the point of his life where he lost all athletic abilty and a little bit of his height!

  • You can hear Hogan yell to give him that extra boost for The Slam

  • Man listen to that crowd!

  • Can you imagine a dude like andre if he had bulked up for his size.

  • Monsoon and Ventura were the best broadcast team the WWF ever had. They called matches realistically. When Ventura said "If Hogan doesnt get out of the predictiment right now we're gonna see a new champion." Monsoon replied "You got that right." If Ventura was calling the match with McMahon, he would've said something like "I dont know about that" and continued calling the match as if Ventura wasnt even there.

  • I always thought Monsoon and Heenan were the best duo, personally.
