You are right.
There was a time when a lot of fans did think that Django was the G-player and not dear old Oscar Aleman. Will change as soon I have pics of Freddy Taylor

Why does the corresponding video all images of Django? Taylor recorded this with his Swing Men in 1935 on the Ultraphone label.
Reinhardt wasn't in the Swing Men, though he and Grapelli had Taylor as a vocalist on some of their own recordings in 1936.
It's kind of disrespectful to Taylor, don't you think?
Still... a great tune.
