@flashdestynova I think whoever pressed dislike must b a child in diapers. But then even my 3yr old luvs The Wizard. So this person must b mentally challenged.
@EntilZa1 Oh no that's really too bad :,( I wish he could've kept animating. He's one in a million. Too bad Hollywood is full of corrupt greedy assholes. They make it so hard to join their stupid unions -:( well anyway, I'll always b a fan of his work :)
Last I heard, Mike had stopped animating (very sad) and was selling off all his equipment. His old site is still up (Google "wizworld") but mail bounced last time I dropped him a note and it hadn't been updated in some time. I met Mike briefly at Harvard in the early 90s when he talked about the feature version of WoSAT. A very interesting guy; extremely under-appreciated.
@jayce79: “Wow, . . . it would have been incredible if he had worked on the Flash series.”
As I understand it, he offered to do so, for union scale wages, just for the love of it. Instead, the producers went with some much more expensive group, and partly because of that, the series cost over a million (in 1990 $!) per episode to produce — a MAJOR factor in its early cancellation.
Of course, the expensive effects were nowhere NEAR as good as what Mike had done over a decade previously.
This is much better quality than the other version posted on YouTube. Such an impressive, fun short film - it still amazes just as much as it did the first time I saw it on The Wonderful World of Disney ages ago. What ever became of Mike Jittlov? Thanks for the upload and nostalgia!
