  • Marilyn in Leopard..so elegant, Legendary Perfection!

  • To the people who say that Marilyn's role in this movie coined the term "dumb blonde": The funny thing is, Loralie wasn't even stupid in this movie. She pretended to be clueless to get her way, when in reality she was spinning her webs behind the scenes. Just watch the whole movie and you'll understand :P

  • I've already loved Marilyn Monroe, but i'm really liking Jane Russell. I have to check out more movies by her.

  • Lol at people assuming the 50's had no problems and everything was dandy.

  • Ahahaha I love how she jumps on the waterbed (x

  • Dá um nó no coração só de saber que uma mulher tão linda quanto a Marilyn morreu cedo

  • 50's? Wehre blacks and gays and much more other things were killed and hated on? Rightt...only thing I want back from the 50's is attitudes like these and women like that.

  • Yeah, how wonderful the 50s were. Marilyn herself was so happy to be living in the 50 she killed herself. Believe me, if youtube existed back then everyone would be complaining about how much better the twenties were.

  • @Flowergirl106 Killed herself!? If you do research you see she didn't. There was no pills found in her stomach or in her bloodstream,

  • @coolcatashley Well, the official cause of death was given as 'probable suicide'. We'll never know what exactly happened to her but it's a distinct possibility.

  • Marlyn is one of the only blondes who can pull off red lipstick. I'm a natural blonde and I can not pull off red lipstick. Marlyn was so talented^^

  • Reminds me of me lol, I also am I dimwitted blonde, nd I love it

  • I hate how nowadays beauty is being a twig and wearing skimpy clothes.... :(

  • I’m sure if the director had it to do over he would never have taken the camera off Marilyn singing Bye Bye Baby. It shouldn’t have gone off her for a moment. Seems like an eternity.

  • When Marilyn was bouncing on the bed you can't help but to smile. <3

  • I love marylin. She's so funny and beautiful. I wouldnt mind living with that olympic team either.

  • did they have bras back then??

  • @devilfairy321 yeah. and they had pantyhose, invented by Ann Miller the tap dancer in 1937.

  • @devilfairy321 yup, they were just plain & big.. no skimpy little things like they have today!

  • Fuck my generation. Seriously the reasons are obvious... You drive a fast car? Nope you fail.

  • Why can't I find part one ?

  • Ladies notice: no cleavage, three quarter sleeves and dress goes past the knees and still manages to be sexier than anything girls are wearing these days. I wish I lived in this era :(

  • Comment removed

  • @lindsayjennifer

Please repeat this comment for all women out there, because these days girls assume that the shorter the skirt the more appealing they look :( but its completely false, they actually cheap!

  • @lindsayjennifer I don't know if you know this but there were pin ups back then..

Also Marilyn fucked a married president and was known to be kind of promiscuous. Clothes don't make a person.

  • @pisceanmind Um yeah I am aware of the existence of pin up models. I also know that Marilyn posed nude and was featured in Playboy. Who cares? Does that have anything to do with what I said about her being super sexy in a pretty modest dress? Nope. So what was your point here?

  • @lindsayjennifer Your post makes it seem like you think girls were la di da. Girls have always been the same. Just better style in the 50s hahaha

  • @pisceanmind All I actually said was that women don't need to show cleavage or a lot of leg to look sexy and I still stand by that. When did I ever suggest that girls were "la di da" then or now? Apparently you drew that conclusion on your own.

  • @lindsayjennifer Calm down my lord. Taking this way too seriously. hahah

  • I was born in the wrong decade :(

    I seriously love Norma Jean

  • @ilyniley4ever

    SAAAAAAAAAAME!

i thought i was the only one :(

  • UGH I LOVE HER! IM SO SO SO SO SOS OS SOSOSOSOSOOOO UPSET I DIDNT GET A CHANCE TO APPRECIATE THIS i hate that i was born in 1995. UGH

  • Husband-hunting women, dumb blonde, brainy brunette, "tall and dark" handsome gentleman... how many more stereotypes does this movie have?

  • she called almost all the men she was with "daddy" i read it in her biography.

  • Marilyn Monroe was beautiful....... Okay the world knows that, but don't say you love her because of the beauty she has and thats all I keep seeing on here. (I love her intellegence and classy style and were both Gemini's)

  • I love Marilyn Monroe. She's so classy and beautiful. <3

  • Monroe is a comic genius, also a wonderful dramatic actress. But what I love about her comedic work is that at it's best it can be so incredibly heartfelt, honest and filled with a vulnerability and playful wonder that is just as powerful as any of the best dramatic works out there...

  • Every chipmunk who has seen her in "Don't bother to knock" would know that Marilyn was a highly talented actress.

  • Marilyn also got a lot of flack for her singing. Twentieth-Century Fox initially didn't believe that she was really doing her own vocals. To prove it to them, she had to release a musical recording of herself. That quieted them down! She has since had her vocal numbers featured on several albums.

  • Women were more beautiful and men were more handsome at that time...

old fashion beauty seems to be lost :( everything was more elegant, so much better...

The 50's were amazing times...I wish I had lived them...

  • @DiAnIsSsDaiMatsu The 50's was like anyother time likenow .Just they sweaped these censored issues under the rug and protend things don't happen like depression that maryin monroe is died before her time cause people didn't like to know about mental illness or other stuff that wasn't pleasante enough to them.Well that life and life never and ever going to be pleasante.

  • @DiAnIsSsDaiMatsu i completely agree...i was born in the 80's and love to hear my grandmother talk about life in the 50's. Looking back at the films and music that were produced during those times, not to mention the community values that people still had, i think it's safe to confirm that we've de-evolved...

  • @ZeinaSereia10

I was born in the 80s, too!

You have a good point- people just don't value beauty today the way they used to!

  • @DiAnIsSsDaiMatsu ur absolutely right me 2 i wish either lived with them

  • Gotta love that old-fashioned vibrato

  • Marilyn Monroe - a true movie star! not like the usual celebrities you get now. I'm a young kid and I know who she is and she passed away 50 years ago. Says a lot on her power. Love her!:) Rip too her!<3

  • I love her laugh

  • lol i thought it was hilarious when she said "you could be a pretty naughty boy sometimes" what that supposed to be sexual?

  • people were really dumb back then.. they all though Marilyn was dumb.. urgh no.. its called playing a character.. and she created this infamous 'dumb blonde' character, its a persona, it was never real. she was actually very intelligent

  • @shinznay You are quite right. She was actually quite smart, kept the act up and through it all kept everyone's guard down. Haha

  • how did they keep there skin so perfect expecially back then ? marilyn is flawlesss :)

  • two gorgeous and classy ladies, i love this film, marilyn is so gorgeous in it and jane is so witty and funny, ive must have watched this a hundred times

  • When are they going to revive this on Broadway? Another of the Disney crap... this is a real musical... !

  • marilyn´s sooo funny. i love marilyns outfit, and jane´s red jacket.

  • 5 people aren’t blonde...

  • Am I the only one who laughed really hard when marilyn was bouncing on the bed? lol.

  • Marilyn is so gorgeous! so is jane of course, they have such immaculate skin! lol

  • terrific fashion in this movie. both actresses look terrific in their custom fitted outfits.

  • damn i must raid marilyn's closet

  • Marilyn Sure Singed Beautiful

  • 5:21 - well, sorry guys, but she must have had some bad breath!!! :))

  • I love this show..Marilyn is a gold digger with a heart!

  • ...so this is how groupy sex got started

  • they are wonderful together ! great chemistry !

  • Marirlyn Monroe was beautiful. she would be 84 right now if she was alive, and she would probably look great

  • lol bouncing on the bed

  • Marilyn Sure had a sexy Voice.

  • Marilyn Monroe Sure had a Nice Voice

  • good movie :)

  • are jane and marilyn really singing? or is that somebody else's voice?

i know audrey hepburn didn't really sing in my fair lady.

  • @karebear531 i find that odd. because she did really sing in tiffany's and the voices were very similiar. maybe she had a vocal aid for the high notes?

    but no, that's really marilyn.

  • @rosalieangelface221

i think marni nixon was audrey hepburn's voice double.

    it's in the video:

The Sound of Music Screen Test - Part 2 of 2

  • @rosalieangelface221 Lionel Newman, the music diferctor at FOX said--many years after Marilyn's death--that she NEVER had to be dubbed "not one note." He also said that unlike the troubles she had on the movie sets, "she loved to sing, and was never late, never a problem for anybody."

  • I think Marilyn was beautiful. But my husband says he thinks Jane was more alluring in this movie. And her very curvy figure (and hair color) was one hundred percent natural.

  • In all honesty I don't understand why this film's so famous...it's Marilyns most boring film ever, nothing compared to her other work...

  • I love Marirlyn Monroe. She is one of America's biggest icons. She is know for many things. Well one is for her beauty nothing of her was fake all of it was nautral.

  • @tanishaAM well her hair color was fake

  • Hahaha,when she said,"Bye,lover!" it was adorable.. (:

  • "even though I have seen this movie eight???? times, It is (even with the stupid comments) better to watch than most of the others that some idiot tore to pieces. Or trying to find the original from all they crap they advertise."

  • what happend to part one

  • thanks for posting this! i love mairlyn monroe.

  • "If a girl is spending all of her time worrying about the money she doesn't have, how is she going to have any time for being in love?" OMG I never thought of it like that. That's true sometimes.

  • Marilyn's singing is giving me goosebumps and I can't stop smiling! She is/was sooooo beautiful.

  • what a beauty.

  • Noone has mastered the "Dumb Blonde" like Ms. Monroe!!! One of the most brilliant actresses ever!!! Happy B-Day Ms.M!!!

  • Because he's her sugar. She is really somethin else bouncing on the bed.

  • Why does she call him Daddy?

  • @rlpDean -he's her sugar daddy and she's the gold-digger

  • @shygirl476 They were still getting things done in those days too, i know i couldnt believe it either.

  • women in the 40's and 50's where very beautiful, they have the natural look... unlike women this days they are not satisfied with there look so they go to doctor for nip/tuck.

  • @shygirl476 well, that is true and don't get me wrong I'm a big Marilyn Monroe fan but she has had a nose job and chin job and she wasn't blond... she was a brunette

  • @EmeesCher -all true

  • @EmeesCher Marilyn didn't have a nose job. She just had the bump at the end of her nose minimized. And she didn't get a chin job, but she did have crescent-shaped silicon inserted in her jaw to emphasize her jawline. And she did have some electrolisis to heighten her hairline. And of course, her hair is dyed. But she didn't have extreme plastic surgery. She was just as beautiful as a brunette Norma Jean.

  • @musicaltheatergeek79 i thought her hair was naturally that color lol

  • @musicaltheatergeek79 yes and the pope isn't catholic. lol! i still love marilyn even if she was a fake blonde and fake everything else.

  • @shygirl476 Marilyn Monroe did have a little tweak in her features with the help of a plastic surgeon..google it. Although she is already very pretty, I guess people in showbiz do feel pressure to look their best, especially the poor women, it isn't fair.

  • Have you see this amazing video from Breton2Robert? It is called: Vibrant, Exceptional: Jane Russell

  • i love this song sooo mch

  • ~Bounces up and down on bed in an unintentionally suggestive way~

"Stop that... Please, its most distracting."

    Made me laugh...^.^...

  • Jane Sings!

  • Marylin Monroe is still the most beautiful women ever.

  • @weiirdOzdotFU i agree. her sex appeal is in no way overrated

  • @weiirdOzdotFU one of them. the other one is audrey hepburn! :)

  • @balletlover119 oh yes!

  • "what a coincidence, that's my plan too"

  • Jane Russell really is a treat!

  • "lover" lol

  • I love this script!

-"I want you to find happiness. And stop having fun."

    -"That baffles me."

  • They are both so gorgeous. This is my favorite movie. Thanks for the upload.

  • Is she calling him Danny, or Daddy?

  • daddy as in her sugar daddy

  • @savannasmilestm daddy, when she first got married thats what she called her husband. in real life.

  • God she was so gorgeous!

  • Tommy Noonan had about the easiest acting job ever here, acting like he was stunned by Marilyn!

  • Marilyn Monroe .. wot a beauty

  • lol when shes bouncing on the bed it look so much fun! shes hilarious

  • "Dorothy Shaw, I'm counting on you to keep those athletes to yourself"

"What a coincidence, that's my plan too"

    LOL!! Best line ever!

  • is it me or is the volume really high quality?

    :)

  • Jane and Marylin are both really pretty, but its really sad that morons can't see that Marylin is ACTING. She's only playing the role of a "dumb blond".

    Come on people!

  • @lavenderblossom she isn't even really a blonde. norma gene was a brunette

  • @fleurgi

Yes I know...i really want to see her with dark hair. I love dark hair XDDDD

  • @lavenderblossom She was too talented, people couldn't see through the act. :(

  • @lavenderblossom the truth is she played a "dumb blond" in real life too. i mean her personna off screen was an act too. she was much more reflective and intelligent than ever portrayed by her publicity or the press. sure she had mental problems magnified by her chosen profession, but no one ever gave her the credit she truly deserved

to become a movie star of her magnitude (highest of all), one needed to have a brain in one's head. she did, but used it behind the scenes. she was no dummy!

  • @lavenderblossom Exactly! Actress=acting. Nobody asks if Christoper Reeve could really fly.

  • @lavenderblossom yes, exactly! and you know why? because they are so jelous that she is so perfect, that they just can handle it and admt it!

  • @lavenderblossom Marlyn had a very high iq,it was classed as highly gifted

  • @lavenderblossom

don't be too jealous, its bad for you ;)

  • im probably the oonly person at my skool who actually knows wat movies MM was in.

PS .. im 11 so that says alot about me

i <3 this movie and marylin! my fave song is bye bye baby

  • oops sorry for my spelling i didnt notice

  • its sad that hollywood forced her to always play a dumb sterotype blonde, she was very brught and she wanted to play serious roles but was never given the chance

  • thanx for posting this;)

  • Tommy Noonan had a thing for blondes, marilyn, jayne and mamie

  • In the background behind Jane Russell, that's Noel Neill ("Lois Lane" of early tv's "Superman") wearing the white hat at 2:59.

  • Love her! She was so beautiful!

  • Awesome Cool Everyone Loves Marilyn!

  • look at marilyn's facial expressions! haha! true parody!!

  • Love marilyn, i just feel she stooped herself down for the role. rest in peace

  • stooped? meaning?

  • Well By Stooped I mean that Marilyn was not a stupid woman. Any person that could have made it as far as she did (an Icon) Was not simple minded.

The role wasn't as smart as she was in my opinion.

  • There not supposed to be!! Theyre movies! Why do you people continuously repeat that? She was stereo typed... blah blah blah! She was an actress. An actress! Good lord I hate how people just say the same things over and over in slightly different ways! Just somthing you heard somwhere and cant wait to repeat it in a sentence.

  • the only reason i dont like this movie.. is it makes Monroe seem dumb! She was so smart! other than that.. WONDERFUL movie!!!

  • Agreed, it's such a shame these idiots can't see that Marilyn is acting. The very fact that she has managed to come across as so truly stupid just proves how good an actress she truly was.

  • I agree. She was very intelligent. I enjoy the movie very much, but i do agree that she is stereotyped.

  • shes playin a CHARACTER not herself. thats what you do when your an actress...

  • right.. i get that lol. but because of this movie people portrayed her as the dumb blonde that she wasnt. thats all i meant. :)

  • init

  • i love the song jane sings with the guys. very pretty :)

  • im never see this movie,,but always a like marilyn,,,

    tanks, !

  • 10 minutes into this film and I've already got a terrible crush on Jane.

  • @siamesefrmsiam she's all kinds of awesome! ITA! I already found myself trying to emulate her just sitting here watching.

  • marilyn is the reason why most blondes are categorized as dumb.

  • Marilyn Monroe is absolutley beautiful x

  • Only for the beginning of Diamonds. Get your facts straight before posting them on every Gentlemen Prefer Blondes video.

  • lies

  • I love Marilyn's image 100%

But the whole dumb blonde attitude she reps...

    not so much.

  • Yeah,but she was very very cute here 1:55 - 2:05 ^^

  • marilyn's face is really pretty at 2:43-2:46

  • thanks so much for posting! I loveee this movie and I love Some like it Hot too. <3 <3 <3

  • hehe i love how zonked out he looks when she sings to him :] wish i had that effect on a guy :P

  • it's the stupidest thing, judging ppl based on the color of your hair.

  • I wouldnt let those other women in the room hehe especially if It was nowadays and michael phelps was on board ;p

  • Stop that, please! It's most distracting~!

  • Epic movie ^^

  • thnx very much for the upload

  • I loled when Marilyn was bouncing on the bed. Ha!

  • None of her songs were dubbed, only a tiny line of 'Diamonds Are a Gilr's Best Friend' was dubbed, which is the part where she says "These rocks don't loose their shape" and the rest of the song is all Marilyn.

  • I thought it was the very beginning of the song-before the words "the french are bred to die for love." Marilyn sang the words " the french are glad to die for love." I thought it was the "No No No" part and the "are a girl's best..." at the end that Marnie dubbed.

  • I read recently that Marnie Nixon dubbed for some, not all, of Marilyn's songs. She's quite famous for dubbing her voice for Natalie Wood, Deborah Kerr, and many others.

  • Marilyn's voice was so sweet and sexy... RIP to a beautiful lady.

  • they're not even sure she did commit suicide, let alone WHY, so thats not really a fair statement

  • Gentle Men prefer Blondes original quote: "They're not even sure she did commit suicide, let alone WHY, so thats not really a fair statement." Wasn't there a theory that Robert Kennedy planned her death? Honestly it said in the toxicology report that she overdosed, simple. "Eight milligram percent of chloral hydrate and 4.5 milligram percent of Nembutal were found in her system after the autopsy." No extravagant plot to take her life. Yes she is a good actress but why would they go after her?
