  • Agh! The sound quality is shit, dammit.

  • The Stones are my fav rock n roll band of all time! This song is so cool and is so much a part of that 64 thru 67 era in music. There has been nothing like it before or since. Thank you for posting!

  • fantastic - what a memory. I was 17 when I saw them a few times at Eel Pie Island in the Thames and remember this, little red rooster and others. The best group ever, with out a doubt!

  • Dios mio solo tenian 20 años de edad demasiado pollitos hahahahaha lol

  • So fabulous.

    Sing that song Mick.

    We love you!!!

  • Thanks for uploading this great song!

  • The original of Arthur Alexander is obviously a dream, but this cover of the Rolling Stones have managed really great - even then it was unusual to hear such soft tones of them might have seemed almost like pop, but that is to once again indicated their Versatility, it was later even more pronounced. Whether Arthur Alexander or the Stones - this song invites you to dream. Greetings from Germany.

  • Great acoustic guitar by Brian and background vocals.

  • this is my favorite mushy stones song - its something to do with jaggers exaggerated vocals although the backup vocals should have been left off - sounds like a gene pitney thing

  • Wasn't this recorded in 1963?

  • The Stones hated this song , they felt it was a soft ballad that was not their style at all. Once famous and could decide what to sing they never played it again.

In my teens in the late 50's I saw Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley, The Platters and in my mid-twenties (and still single!) in the 60's The Beatles, Gerry and the Pace Makers, The Stones etc , I was so lucky. Also Johnnie Ray in the early 50;s

I also spent early 40's nights in an airaid shelter - so that balanced it

  • AWESOME SONG OF ROLLING STONES IN 1964

  • happy birthday bill wyman

  • I've never been a Rolling Stone fan, but I do like Arthur Alexander. I didn't know this cover version, but they do a good job. They had good taste when choosing what to cover.

  • Awful sound!

  • ARTHUR ALEXANDER wrotte and recorded the original version and still the nest version ever.

  • happy birthday charlie watts

  • Great Song Great Time!!

  • The Stones were never just straight out rockers. They have a decent set of acoustic tracks. The Singer Not The Song and Lady Jane both spring to mind

  • Only once in a few hundred years, such magic ,manifestates itself. The Stones....

right place at the right time....they tapped into something, unseen before,

They make it look so easy ,they were TRUE masters at their game ♂

  • elllos fueron la rebeldia de los 60 ,por eso mejor sigue adelante.EXCELENTE TEMA.

  • Damn, this was recorded 45 years ago.

  • weird to think "Satisfaction" was recorded 44 years ago... considering how well it is still looked upon today!!!!

  • Check out the original by Arthur Alexander.

  • If I live to be a hundred, I'll never experience a year in music like 1964. What a perfect time it was to turn 13 and have my musical taste formed by The British Invasion and Motown. Thanks so much for posting.

  • "I live to be a hundred, I'll never experience a year in music like 1964. What a perfect time it was to turn 13" - Andy

Tell us more about what it was like being a teen in America in `64

  • @andyinoregon The period 1964-1966 is the best!

1975-1977 and 1982-1984 are also great.

Also 1957-1959 filled with classic hits.

  • @fntime Agree 64-66 the best for Stones!

  • @andyinoregon - Ditto (I was 11 years old)

  • kushti, classic stones at there best.
