  • @CalebElijah This song really doesn't fit on guitar. No offense to you, though.

  • one of the best final fantasy songs. I hated fighting those damn things!

  • This song used to creep me out so bad as a kid. For a "16 bit" game Final Fantasy 4 really stirred up a lot of emotion. Well played dude.

  • WOW O_O

  • that's interesting. Thanks for the vid share. Like how you edited it all up. X3

  • is their any way u can this on acoustic if not can u send me the normal tab

  • in my opinion, there is only a part that doesnt sound that right, i mean, i notice it because ive been hearing this song for a loooong time, and i think this guy is out of scale for a short time

  • AWSOME if everybody had the layout that you do on here it would be alot easyer to learn more music YOUR THE MAN thank you this vid was awsome please make more. total 5 big stars

  • One of my fav piece from FF. You are awesome!!

  • You are probably the coolest person ever for making a video like this! Thank you

  • This is one of my favorite themes from FFIV!

  • boss fight can be a bitch though

  • nah, the front dolls have around 500 hp, just kill 2 of them and leave one, then kill 2 of the ones from behind, focus thrice with yang and use kick, your victory

  • i forgot to mention, i play a hacked version that triples the enemy unit HP

  • ok...do the same, but when yang kicks the back doll wont die so finish it fast otherwise, it's big ugly doll time

  • you don't seem to understand its impossible to kill any more than 2 dolls before they combine

  • ...my yang with 3 focus dealt 1500 to each doll while targeting 4 of them, if he targets only 2 then the damage would be much higher

  • You just don't know how to do it.

You have to weaken the back row (but DON'T KILL THEM) - the dolls in the Front go down to just about any attack from Yang/Cecil/Kain.

After that, if you have access to the item duplication glitches (SNES/PSX versions), duplicate the Flame Sword and give it to Kain. Give Yang 2 Fire Claws, and after weakening all 3 dolls in the back (1000-1200 HP worth of damage should do it) in the back, kill two in the front, then IMMEDIATELY have Yang kick.

  • That doesn't work, though it has been a while since I've played FFIV. IIRC, if you kill two of either type, the other 4 will combine.

If you know their HP, the easiest way (well, not really, it lengthens the battle unnecessarily) is to weaken the 3 front ones with Cecil and Kain using standard physical strikes (without a fire weapon), then do the same with the back three.

If you're playing the DS version, just have Yang Boost 3 times, then Kick. Cecil & Kain hurry to kill the survivors.

  • awesome.

but wat program did u use?

  • He used Guitar Pro

  • Great Video

    FF great games series :)

  • Just wanted to comment and say that I love that you have started putting the tab in the video. It is incredibly helpful.

    Wonderful playing as always.

  • it plays this song when you find cecils favorite magazine heh heh heh its in the dwarfen area look on game faqs or ask me through mail(on youtube)

  • Is that a tab program?

  • wow, i dont know about FFIV, but this tune is AWESOME! cant stop listening to it!

  • Wow this is awesome, I think this is the first I have EVER seen. To put the tabs like this? Man, jus....just you are just to damn cool lol.

  • Why can I not recgonize this song?

And FF IV is one of my favourites!

    ... Odd

  • It sounds a little different from the in-game version; I'm not entirely sure, but it sounds like it's a higher pitched version.

I think it's the lack of instrumentation that makes it sound different. It's still good work as usual though.

  • Remember the part where you just got to the underworld and had to fight Luca's dolls?

  • Thanks Caleb! This is really cool! 5/5

  • hey takin up a step i see caleb.. haha.. seems like you were on hiatus for a while there- welcome back

  • David Bowie? David Bowie is not in FF2. FF2's main villain is Emperor Mateus Palamecia, who looks nothing like David Bowie.

And you don't really have to beat yourself up in ff2 at all. It's just that most people don't play the game right. They try to teach every character as many abilities and skills as they can, and in turn, force themselves to level grind.

Also, using "Swap" on Goblins is a much faster and easier method of levelling.

  • You honestly think that FF4 is underrated?!

    HAHAHA!!!

You should visit Japan then. "Theme of Love" is so famous, that it's actually taught to Japanese schoolchildren as part of their curriculum.

Now, if ANY ff is underrated, it's ff2.

  • Awesome work, but it seems like you did more work getting tab on screen than you did arranging the entire piece; only reason I say that is that I don't see you very often falling back on synths and such... and in this one, almost the entire track was synths. Nothing bad, mind you, but the bass sounded really bad and I thought the organ part would have been really cool if played by guitar. Would like to see a guitar/bass version in the future.

  • Yeah, I would have played the parts just like I programmed the synths, I have the tabs for them, but I was trying this new format out, and felt like there would be alot of crap going on if I tried to put any of it in video. I could have played the parts, though, but the CPU does it so much faster and more accurately. It made the task manageable, rather than a huge ordeal.

  • I guess I can understand this as a test run - I suppose you don't necessarily have to show all the parts as once - this piece cycles quite quickly, so you could cycle it three times to show each part. Just some thoughts!

I'd still very much like to hear a version arranged sheerly for bass/guitar, in some shape or form.

  • I agree. I think once I'm a little more comfortable and fast with this (maybe after the next vid or so), it will be time to do a 4 part piece that cycles through each tab part. Now what to do with my arrangements that use 9 guitars...

  • Some battles are just better off left not fought, sometimes... XD

In all honesty, though, you don't necessarily need to be showing you playing... you could just tab it with the video and lay the track over it. I mean, it won't be as nice as this video, but it would be practical for those who wanted to learn.

Oh, by the way, I was wondering if you knew - when recording, what's a good pre-delay for vocal reverb?

  • Can't help you on the vocal reverb pre-delay. I don't know enough about actual recording. I've just kind of made it up as I go.....

  • Man, that was awesome. Love the tabs thing you had on here, too. The problem I always have with tabs is that it's hard to tell the note duration and everything, but with you playing along with it, it's really easy to see it, and to hear it. I'd love to see more videos done in this format, it's very informative, and very cool, too.

  • That was awesome

  • Those Dwarves never saw it coming.

  • Niiice. I hope you can do every vid like that. Very helpful! Keep up rhe good work dude!

  • you are a genius, i love you.

  • ooober sick man, keep it up think u can do with more of your vids?

  • AWESOME.

Now go back and do this for all your other vids :) haha.

  • I second this demand!

My friend Nick needs to learn to play some of these.

  • now i have some work on the axe to do XD

  • SICK

  • awsome job with the tabs

  • Love the way you did this vid. Nice playing too.

  • As has been previously stated: "Holy crap! How'd you do that? This is excellent. "

  • nooooice. Awesome format

  • wow man nice ^_^ sweet cool...

  • Brilliant idea with this video. People will surely take advantage of it!

  • Awesome video format, people will love these, especially for the more complex songs.

  • fantastic...definitely should do more like this!

  • Holy crap! How'd you do that? This is excellent.

  • awesome

  • Awesome as always. Love the visuals too.

  • Props for the nice editing, that's a great idea!

  • once again you outdo yourself!

  • I'm guessing this is going to be your new video style, right? Playing along side the tabs. I dig it! You should definitely keep it this way. You don't have to put the tabs in the description anymore!

    : )

  • And as usual, another five star video.

  • wow! you should do this for your other videos too. I love your tabs.
