I heard this on a film or tv show... I can't remember where I heard this before... Anyone have any guesses as to what I'm talking about? I can't remember.
@crazymustan it's playing in the background in the final episode of the first season of Californication during the opening credits, during Hank's dream sequence where he dreams of interrupting Karen's wedding. Hope that's what you're talking about, stuff like that drives me crazy
Good version by Steve Earle...Warren's 1987 recording with backing vocals from Don Henley was very good but the definitive version is Stevie Nicks' 1985 recording, also with Henley singing back-up.
i heard warren perform this for years before sentimental hygiene (the great zevon drought from 82-87) when you had to go see him live. He and Don Henley were just sitting around his living room . . . well, it should have been a hit
I posted this in the discription but I'm sure someone isn't going to bother to read that. This is actually Song 3. I know at the beginniing I said it was song 2. I have no idea what was going on in my head when I said that. I am sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
its a beautifull song and cover

Fantastic. Warren Zevon music performed by Reckless Kelly, what more can a kid from Idaho ask for?

WZ's backing band for this album was REM. I own it on tape. Have not been able to get a new copy.
I don't like the tempo of this version
