I agree with the video maker. Chris Hayes, with all his youthful enthusiasm and intelligence is a product of the American mainstream media factory. He is moulded to think that there are only two political parties in the US. Voters who do not belong in either are independents, who will vote for either depending on the flavor of the election. I don't mean to be uncivil, but these recent hit videos against moveOn and theNation, and seemingly anyone who's not rallying for Gravel , really piss me off.
Gravel is a great guy. It's a shame he's out of the game. However, there are 2 candidates running for nominee who are deadlocked right NOW, and it's up to each one of us to find out for ourselves what the differences between them are.
If someone claims that they are exactly the same, why would you take that at face value?
I just wanted to say "thank you" for this video. I am not familiar with Gravel, but that would be the MSM's fault.
I am currently a Ron Paul supporter and in some sad way it's nice to know the media blacks out people on both sides.
More than ever, it makes me mad. Voters from either side should know all their options. Not who the media picks for them. The media SHOULD equally show everyone.
How has he betrayed the american people, when this video seems to be targeted mostly at people who are friends of theNation and/or frequent youtubers, most likely aware of Gravel's campaign.
Hayes might be aware the demographics of his target audience and know that an overwhelming majority is supporting either Obama or Clinton.
Well, your quote 'definition of elite' is open to interpretation.
Doesn't a society need an intellectual elite, or literary, cultural, science-based elites etc. Just in many fields just to drive up and further develop society at large.
however, I think it's somewhat silly to imply that there is a "the elite". or if there is, I don't think a nerd like Chris Hayes on a youtube video would be on that list.
No, the operative question is why are you making such a fuss about this. It's up to each person to educate themselves. You don't need to educate anymore than he does.
Until instant runoff voting is implemented, someone like Gravel will never have a chance. Quit wasting your time promoting someone who can't win. Change the system.
It's a shame if the US is not ready for someone like Gravel. He has some great ideas, and seems to be a kindred spirit to some european left politicians who are also advocating 'citizens wage' and similar ideas.
A democracy needs voices like yours, but why choose MoveOn and The Nation as targets? Is this their cardinal sin because they are 'on the left'. Why don't you attack REUTERS instead?
You are ignoring the BEST, and promoting the two WORST.
The Thing that bugs me most about your hit videos against MoveOn and The Nation is the arrogance. Your way of 'informing' me that they are traitorous bastards for focusing on the democratic candidates with popular support .
Someone wrote that you should also include DemocracyNow on your hit, since they rarely mention Gravel either. What about CNN, NY Times, ABC, BBC, AP, or REUTERS?
Mike Gravel and Ron Paul are the only candidates that promise "REAL" change in Washington. Mike Gravel wants to put the power of legislation into the hands of U.S. citizens. This is a man who single handedly brought an end to the Vietnam War and ordered the release of the Pentagon Papers. All the other candidates have special interest aiding them.
Gravel was never given equal time even when he was in the debates. And yes, very early on, the media simply stopped him from being in the debates at all. You can see what the fear: REAL Change (not the BS marketing ploy Obama uses)
I find this really repulsive in America. I think they need to figure out a way to give every potential canidate with a % or number of votes some free publicity. Honestly I never really heard about Gravel until recently, and I like his positions. Pretty backwards that the person with the most money should win, in a country based mostly on the middle class.
this is exactly like the stunts they play with ron paul. EXACTLY. I agree with gravel on most of the issues, and support him and dennis fully.
Just want to ask if you could put a link of christopher hayes' video on the information box so all your viewers can go there and comment on how biased his reporting is. Im gonna go do that now.
The media, and Gov. Are blatant about there dishonesty. They are desenitizing you to this fact.People keep talking about it,and doing nothing. Most, unfortunatly, will continue to do nothing when the shit hits the fan.its are own falt for not taking action.

What? I would like to agree with you, but Gravel won't win, can't win, and thus is not a real "choice". The same went with Nader, who by the way cost us the sh*t we're in now. And I love Nader!
Then maybe this will: Pull your head out of the sand and focus on what can and will happen polictically here in the US. There are bigger problems that the corrupted press; at least we have this avenue to throw crap at each other.
qaswedfrazxs, again, you don't make sense. I am trying to deal with the "bigger problems" but people are sabotaging the mechanism the people have to change the situation. Focus on will happen? what do you even mean? Powerful deceitful people are going to cause more pain, we have to do what we can to prevent that.
To clarify: Clinton or Obama will be president. Neither Gravel or Paul will. Period. The mechanism is changing, thanks to creative uses of the internet. If that doesn't make sense, then I would advise to try another language.
Internet regulation laws are in the works now to end all this free speech.Cant have anymore grassroot campaigns starting up anymore can we.Watch Ggle and YT get snapped up by the MSM soon.
I just want to say that I went to two voting locations and the seem very unregulated. One voting location didn't have any police officers present. And how do you make sure that your vote was counted? If two locations to me seemed that voting fraud can happen Imagen all the other locations that are not regulated. THANK YOU AMERICA FOR SUCH A GREAT DEMOCRATIC PROCESS IS BULLSHIT!
To those who don't know much about Mike Gravel: Do some research, read and learn. Stop relying on the mainstream media for information. There IS another option outside of Clinton and Obama.
It's not about whether or not Gravel can win, it's about presenting choices & letting Americans decide who they like best. I think we should press Congress into passing media reform laws that would prohibit those who cover the race from giving their opinions s to who is electable & who they think will/can win in Gen Election, as there seems to be much resentment on both sides of the isle toward the MSM's deciding which candidates are electable AND which candidates get favorable treatment.
fattkidd: I think you're right. You can see media interests tailoring debates so they're "not too complicated, with too many people." Make it simple for the folks, I suppose they must believe. The situation is disgusting.
I cancelled my subscription to The Nation because Nation's readers/subscribers voted to endorse Dennis Kucinich but, the paper then balked saying that he wasn't electable & that they would therefore endorse no one. If so-called 'progressive' organs like The Nation won't stand up & be counted on to back the candidate that most reflects their philosophy, then can we expect anything resembling fairness by the MSM?
I called some of my friends last night to tell them about Mike Gravel and why Hillary and Barrack are just like Chenney and Bush. I told my sister about Gravel, I'm sure she will vote for him. Unfortunately not all of my friends I called would vote for Gravel, but I got them to open their minds and think.

The media is just another corporate/ government control tool. Keep that in mind. Turn off the TV and start reading some non-fiction history books including alternate points of view when possible or available so you can make your own opinion about historical events. Read books like "The Monster from Jekyll Isle" or "A foreign policy of freedom".
