Yay! I have been trying to figure out where I can get this track. Hope I can find the ep! Wish I would have bought it at the tour now. Crazy I figured out the name of this song from grabbing the set list at the show! :)
@TNOHVOR im not so sure he's gonna come back to this though... go watch a live video of snake hill thats on youtube he says "this is what we consider the NAIL IN THE COFFIN TOUR. its our last 4 shows"
he worte like 12/16 and they are all really good...the songs he did write aswellput him in a different stratosphere to his previous work. I've every album and ep he has ever done hard copies and in my oopinion though digital ash...letting of the happiness...cassadaga....oh holy fools.... are all ridiculously good, Outer South is his best
Ok well since I was kind of waiting to find out if these songs off the Gentlemen's Pact EP would also be on the Outer South, and now that I know they're not....
Can someone PLEASE hook me up with MP3's of these songs? I would've happily bought the EP myself but when I saw him in Austin it wasn't available yet.
what just blows my mind about conor is that almost anything he puts out that's "new" for a while i say it's the best thing he's ever wrote. he just blows my mind
This is the best song Conor's written for ages and I love almost all of his songs. It has the passion and coarseness of 'No Lies..' or 'It's cool..' As much as I like Cassadaga and most Mystic Valley stuff, occasionally he should just fuckin' scream.
I wholeheartedly agree with your last statement man. It's true that Conor's not a kid anymore, but nothing transcends the passion in his music like an emotional bawl of his. Check Fever's and Mirrors.
I adore 'Fevers and Mirrors' and 'Letting Off The Happiness', et al... Soundtracked so much of my life so far and I just hope he retains his honesty, lyrically too, with the occasional clunky line followed by a cutting piece of pure poetry. Things would be infinitely more barren without him. Peace.

Check out Monsters of Folk if you haven't already. "Ahead of the Curve" is my favorite Conor Oberst song on the album.

well it was never officially said. but it's pretty blatant that we won't be seeing them tour again for a very long time, if ever.
Maatsy 2 years ago
they are still together
Conor is taking the next year or so to record the last CD for bright eyes before he retired that project is all.
