Current 3Dtv technology has absolutely no effect on 2D performance! It's a computer thing within the tv. A seperate picture flashes every 60th of a second and another 60th of a second from a slightly different perspective hence 120hz or 120 frames per second! As for 3D flopping - lots of people said Blu-Ray was going to "flop" too back in 2008. Stop hatin and get used to it!
