We are allowed to run whatever we want at the track, we do a lot of testing with different battery and motor setups and that day I was running 4s and a small motor. I still run 4s in my buggy because I have a lot of 4s packs and I always make 15min. I'm now running a Medusa 60mm 2200 and it's perfect.
I don't change batteries to make a car easier to drive, I change to a slower motor. I match the motor's kv with the battery's voltage to get the speed I want.
No problems with FM, just be sure to bring a spare set of crystals in case someone else is using your channel. Should be fine, most at the track use 2.4. Are you thinking of coming out to ARC?
ya,I been in ARC raceway once, I wanted to race, but I dont know if I had to pay on practice days. Everybodys so busy racing. I heard theres a shop right beside the track? You might see me there next week( look for the 15yr spiked hair Tan dude). Would it be fine if I race a RWD truggy.
The reason some still use Fm is because the steering and throttle responce is quicker. Most Pro's use it because if they have a 100%deal with a radio company they have to use what the company provides. Some do not have 2.4 systems so they still use the FM.
Definitely not a beginner. That was my first run with the car that day (got to the track late, no practice) but I've been running that buggy for a while. What did you see in that run to make you ask?
No, I didn't win, came in 6th. There were 14 cars in the main, it was a mess. Marshalls had a real tough time out there and it was very hard to drive cleanly.
I really only go WOT down the front straight, not really needed anywhere else. Thanks!
some of this driving is horrible... cool vid tho

are you running a 4s because they limited you to that to race? or so that it would be controlable?
im converting a buggy right now and this track is actually the closest one to my house, i need to make a trip up there and hopefully race!

Do you have to have a 2.4GHZ system.
HPIxDrift 3 years ago
2.4Ghz is not needed. Some pro's prefer fm.

Ow,Did you have any problems using FM while other people did. or you have to use a crystal given by track.

Yeah the fm channel range is pretty empty since many people are using 2,4 gig

How warm did this engine get?
jessvalk 3 years ago
The hottest I've ever temped it was 176. That was at the end of a 15min race, and the ambient temp was 100.

how many minutes of run time are you gettin out of the 5000mah pack with that setup?
yoshgixxer 3 years ago
I run 15 min mains and have always finished. I don't take any warm-up laps though, just cross the loop to check in then sit and wait for the nitros.
