Ages Before I started your drum lessons, Jared, I started playing piano-and you're right, it really DOES help you with your drumming =) And yet, right now, the name for this video is "Little Swing Song" and in the discription it says "simple swing song"... 6 years of piano and it would STILL take me another 8 to learn to play like that! The bassist mde no mistake at 1:59, its called swung eigth notes, and duh hes playing several notes over and over, welcome to the world of bass playing. There was also no error at 2:17, he absolutely no ride in that shot, you were probably expecting him to be at the ride. And nobody cares peole how long you have been playing instruments or how good you are, most of us play instruments, and well never see you, so no one cares.

2:17 was a bit awkward.. I understand that Jared was switching his left hand from his snare to his Hi-Hat and his right was focused on the Ride, but the weird part was that there were no Ride Cymbal sounds. Only Hi-hat sounds. Plus the abrupt transition of the video to a clip where he is now only focusing on the Hi-Hat. Probably to match the audio clip?? But anyways, great song :))

Hey Jared, I really like the way you played along with the other musicians, but can you explained what you did on the drums, did you go into half time or double time?

Yes, it went into a little bit of a double time feel. I started to play 1/8th note triplets between the ride and the hi-hats, doubling some of the left hand strokes on the hats.

The verse beat is more disconnected and random.
