This video would be great for the Canada’s Got Treasures collection, which aims to feature Canadian videos of personal or cultural significance. Help celebrate Canadian diversity by joining our YouTube group (/group/TresorTreasure) and submitting your video. It would be made available on our channel and website.
The golden boy shot at the end was from footage supplied by Travel Manitoba. The video was all made from pre-existing footage supplied by Travel Manitoba, CBC, Frantic Films, the Manitoba Archives and a clip from Inertia by Winnipeg Filmmaker Sean Garrity. The still images were scanned in by me.
How wierd, just watched it again and Richard Ashcroft gone! The montage played Song for Lovers for a long time in the middle - honest! It gave the video a cool feel though - a sense of urgency. Wonder why that happened. Youtube playing tricks on you.
Happened across this video one day when thinking about "home" ...now live in Brighton UK. Actually, I think I shared an Arts Council office with you for a very short period of time in 1992ish. Loved the video, but why Richard Ashcroft? Joanne Young

Where did the last shot of the golden boy come from, or what it specifically shot for this video?
