In theory it's a pretty simple solo to play

but to be able to play it with emotion and finesse like dave gilmour takes a whole lot more work.

If you ask me, this cover lacks the feeling that made the song so great. Timing is off, there's no vibrato, etc. Put your heart into it! You've got the basics down though, so keep practicing and you'll get there!

yea its a 1986 Collectors Edition.i also have an Espan which is 40 yo and its the greatest acoustic guitar ive ever seen.i'll upload some stuff playing that beauty:)

Very nice guitar. Is that an Applause or an Ovation? I don't recognize that white face model you have. The only white face Ovation I've ever seen is the 1986 Collectors Edition.

2005! I went to the Ovation web site and fount it.  Nice! I have the 1986 and it was bright white when I bought it, now it is the same color as yours from aging. You can see it on the Ovation web site.
