As much as I love her and this song....I am sortof shocked by her refusal to stop wearing fur. How she can contribute to the pain animals go thru during the furrier process is pretty selfish just to look ghettofabulous. Peta hates her. And although I don't think Peta is that great either its just such an odd thing to contribute to pain of other living creatures when all your lyrics are about love, not fighting and peace. I guess they don't apply towards slaughter of innocent living creatures.

Thanks for your comment i know this is a very touchy subject. I think that fur looks fantastic on a lady and i encourage my wife to wear it but FAKE fur. Mary has always said it is her freedom of choice to wear what she wants and being the strong woman she is i doubt that Mary will change that choice.

My shoes are made of leather that come from an animal that is used for many purposes such as meat and tallow etc, not just skin. Skinning animals alive with out pain killers or being put down in a humane way solely for the purpose of stripping off their fur is torturous and wasteful. Educate yourself as a member of the NRA,most NRA members pride themselves as having humanity towards killing animals by not causing undue stress and suffering.Please try to change your asshole ways as an NRA member.

i know that the animals are slaughtered before 'skinning' - the process would be very difficult if this was not the case,, and i also know the remains are sent to a for rendering to be used to make feed material (anyone buy cat or dog food recently?) like other slaughtered farm animals

For cows/sheep the above is true, however pls educate yourself bcuz when it comes to fur apparel esp in China & for underground fur trade they are not put down humanely...they are skinned alive, and thrown in a pile as a carcass while still alive! Fur is best skinned while the animal is alive for quality purposes it floats on top of muscle like a separate layer connected in separate areas. dont u think itd be painful to have your fur ripped off while you were still alive? Puhlease get smart!

Please educate yourself! Get smart, and stop swallowing animal rights propaganda , especially those animal "snuff films". Animals are NOT skinned alive for fur...unless the skinners were PAID to do so on film by some anti-fur animal rights activists because it fit their agenda. This has happened before. In 1964 during the Canadian seal cull when a sealer was paid by an animal advocacy group to abuse a seal on camera.
