Actually, I own (and have played for quite awhile now) a Lefty Fender Japan Jazz Bass (JT62-3TS-LH) in Sunburst. Great axe!...and, thanks to K-ON!, nearly impossible to find now for under $1,400. Fender Japan sold two years inventory of them in 6 weeks!

@xxxyaarxxx I don't disagree with you, but I took it as that was the first time they saw their characters' instruments in person. Heck, if I was a voice actor and my character played music, I'd freak if I saw the exact same instrument my character was using in real life. But I will admit though, they did overreact a bit too much.

@xXRockKanXx Actually, no...she isn't. But, she did learn to play the bass left-handed for the concerts. They played 5 live songs over the two concerts...but, Yoko wasn't able to keep the pace up for the faster songs, so the real band faked her parts. Ritsu really did play drums on several songs...and, considering that she is not a professional, did a pretty good job. Same for Mugi on the keyboards. Azunyan and Yui both learned their guitar parts; and Yui actually played lead twice.
