Love it. He tells them how he'll answer questions. Of course what the video cut was a reporter asking a question, with Obama responding by saying he was just there for a visit, then getting mad when the reporter asked the question a second time.

He is here just to say hi, not to answer question. If he start to answer question, he would have to do so everywhere he goes. This would slow him down and he will not be able to work at all. His time is limited, but he decided to spent a few minutes to say hi, and find out where the hournalists work. That other journalist was acting like an asshole. While everyone else was trying to show Obama the place they work, he kept trying to ask the same question even after been told this is not the time.

If Obama answered him, everyone would be asking him. This is small corridor, clearly not appropriate to have an interview. Finally Obama is the president and they are not supposed to act like paparazzi. They have rules to follow and a room to ask questions. If we were to follow your idea of transparency, maybe he would have been better for him to just hide in his cabinet. What's wrong with the man trying to be nice and come to say hello to journalists? I don't recall Bush even doing that.
