  • Thanks for posting this!

  • Re-defines rock & roll history? Seriously? I think too much 420 for Raw...

  • @RyanAyanian ... Yes, MTV in 1990-91 was trying to secure a Jane's Addiction acoustic set for one million dollars. (corporate pr scam) the band declined, RAW420 captured a small acoustic set for free, and shares it here with the world, indeed redefining Rock n Roll history, put that in your pipe and smoke it!

  • fuck man...long enough intro?

  • another aaa acoustic set

  • Thank you soooo Much for posting all your video!! You have brought much joy to my life. I love this band. Thanks again

  • Cool one!

  • sweet upload!!!

  • Wow, bringing back the memories. Those bastards were late as hell that night getting on stage. No surprise, and we loved them regardless. Great days.

  • Holy shit dude you fucken rock. I love your vids. Thanks for sending me note, and I am so glad that I checked you out. I am the one with the Perry playlist from hell. ANY PORNO FOR PYROS GOOD VIDEO LIVE?

  • oh man, can i be your friend...PLEASE! lol

  • raw 420, I've gotta ask...any chance you filmed the Halloween show at the Henry Fonda Theatre Oct. 31, 1990?

Also, did you ever film any Thelonious Monster or Fishbone shows...maybe the famous benefit show at the Hollywood Palladium with Jane's, Thelonious, RHCP and Fishbone?

Man, I'd love to get together with you and shoot the breeze...I got a feeling we were at a lot of the same shows back in the 80's-early 90's.

  • Good lord man, raw420, you are effin KILLING me with these awesome clips of vintage Jane's

    shows that I was at.

This happens to be the Craig Lee benefit at the Hollywood Palace(now called the Avalon).

Craig Lee was the music editor of the LA Weekly during the 80's and he had recently died.

You knew the end of Jane's was at hand because 1)Eric wasn't there; and 2)Perry was sporting a shiner that night courtesy of Eric.

Another highlight of this night: Exene(from X)singing w/Go-Go's!

  • LOL Thats so funny, I had no idea that happened.

I was standing in line recently at one of their shows with NIN talking to a guy in line and he was saying I was lucky to see them now as their is still inner tension within the band

  • Inner tension is what creates this sort of music to begin with so,let the demons fly and the music infest our souls! Sounds like Eric wouldn't put up with any of Perry's shit and like a passionate lover he either sucked it up or left. he left. Respect Eric A. Porno for Pyros had their moments but nothing can touch Janes in the early 90's at their height. NINJA tour is like an oldies night with alternos saying, "remember when" Perry had a crazy voice (range)back in the day. Now its good but....

  • Fucking Awesome!

  • really awesome version, wish crowd would shut up

  • I heard at this show that they broke up, yet here they were performing acoustic..

  • love it

  • man, when I first bought this album when it came out, I listened to this song over and over, powerful.

  • pretty cool

  • raw420x - "Working on producing this into a DVD for the band"

Sure hope they let it see the light of day! this is some awesome footage BIG THANX 4 sharing bro! peace!

  • amazing

  • amazing song like this. great drumming. this really shows how great perry's voice

  • wow!

  • i just jizzed in my pants a little bit

  • HOLY CRAP. UNBELIEVABLE. Just when you thought you've seen all the "rare" footage out there on Janes...this comes out.

Please post some more. THANK YOU.

  • raw420,

    thanks for putting this up!!

Rare stuff like this means the world to us hardcore fans. It's a shame that there is so much rare footage out there of bands, footage that can't be released due to record label bullshit.

This "Ain't No Right" acoustic set was/is one of the Holy Grails of the Jane's trading community. Do you have any other footage of them?

Thanks a million for putting this up, it's absolutely AMAZING!!

    cheers,

    Kevin from SF

  • From this acoustic set, right after "aint no right" , they performed "Ocean Size", and then "Classic girl". I have a full concert set from April 29 1989 at the Anson Ford theatre. Working on producing this into a DVD for the band.

  • Now that is some sick rare Janes footage!! More JA pretty please!!

  • What sick footage. Thank you raw420 films!! More JA pretty please!!

  • What sick footage. Thank you raw420 films!!! More JA pretty please!!

  • Imagine this, my concert films have been stored in a safe for the last 20 to 16 years, this footage has never been seen before until now... this is just a clip of much footage I'm working on.... stay tunes rate and subscribe
