  • i luv this ride...totally going on it for the 3rd time in april!!:)

  • 2:22 it's sad they just stick those fishes on something you can't ignore... :S for the rest, it's a great job

  • wtf??? why is there no giant ursula scene???

  • best disney movie. ever.

  • Thanks for filming! But I'm really not a fan of this ride...I just don't feel like it works, somehow.

  • I love little mermaid <3

  • I wanna ride this!!

  • @CassJayTuck its at disneyland, california! duhhhhhhhhhhh

  • omg i went on this when i was 6 I was freaking out

MOMMY ARIEL LOOKS WEIRD AND LIKE SHE IS A ROBOT! SAVE ME AHH

    XD

  • @robloxrocks1965 This ride opened in May of 2011...

  • Great job filming their expressions! They look so life like! I can't WAIT to ride it when it comes to florida!

  • they did a really good job with this attraction, cant wait till it comes to disneyworld!

  • thats the little mermaid in 6 minutes

  • Where IS this? I've never seen this ride before!

  • I would love to have seen cel animation for all the video scenes, and to hear the original voices instead of newer recordings. Other than that, though, the storytelling is phenomenal here. And all the sculptures are excellent.

  • I miss bubbles :P

  • I've never been to anything Disney. I'm a theatrical person, big on spectacle. And I literally almost cried watching this. It's just so freaking cool!!

  • If you have the combo pack of Little Mermaid, they did a digital ride, which was much better than this one,to be honest.

  • @MsTreasure31 i am so happy i found someone on here who agrees! this one is fairly good but they deleted the most important part of the ride, the defeat of ursula. that is my major complaint about this version of the ride. but the figures are AMAZING!!! props to the disney imangineers for pushing the technology at least...

  • @CaptianMarauderChick Yes!It was amazing how it would light up and you can see her skeleton.Though it might have been a little scary for kids. Also, the "Kiss the Girl" scene when you see the two eels. Now I know that I have something in common with people.

  • @MsTreasure31 it would of fit perfectly scary wise with the Snow White and Pinocchio dark rides so it wouldn't have been too scary since no one really complains about those two...

  • @CaptianMarauderChick Good piont. It's like you're underwater with her.And Ursala's lair is much better than this one

  • @MsTreasure31 yup. it is cool they finally came up with a good effect to take riders under the sea. i wish they didn't use CGI in the ride however. they could of used regular animation. its not that hard to draw her...

  • It looks so nice! In germany, we have a ride like this and at the and of the ride a Voice says "Euer Abenteuer Nähert sich dem Ende. Wenn sich eure Ricksha öffnet, so steigt zur Linken Seite aus. Doch Vorsicht! Die Ricksha hält nicht an! Your adventure nears its end. If your Safety Bar opens, exit to the left side. But beware! The Rickshaw don´t Stop!"

  • why did samuel E Wright had to retire? ....

  • Excuse me, last time i went it said this ride was opened, but i couldn't find it anywhere! Is it on Disneyland?

  • @bloodyxberry It's at Disney California Adventure..

  • @bloodyxberry Yeah, it's in Californian Adventure

  • @dottiedots221 and soon to be opened in a year or two in disney world in fantasyland!

  • @CaptianMarauderChick I know! SOOOOOO EXCITED :D

  • @CaptianMarauderChick Whaaaaat?! :O Yay, I'm so excited for it! :D

  • I liked the original concept better.

  • I love this ride! i swear i went on 3 times in a row! AHH disney <3

  • This is a cool ride!<3

  • -Also, you got stuck on the BEST part of the ride. Just saying. lol xD

  • -While the ride is good, they could've had the scene where Ursula dies. Instead of the little cut-out xD But a good ride either way. Can't wait for WDW's opening. Definitely riding ^___________^

  • That would have been cool but the younger kids would have been scared :(

  • @LooLolaLoo Yeahhh. But Disney does have those "Ride Content is frightening for children" advisories. One of those would be useful is they kept the original ride so then the parents wouldn't take their little children on the ride & then us big kids could enjoy it ^_________^

Although i;d probably piss my pants xDD

  • @JoesGF4ever But kids LOVE The Little Mermaid... at least I knew I did! They had to soften it up a bit, I guess, because I'm sure a lot of people would have been freaked out (including me!) about by a Huge Ursula right next to them and flickering lights trying to take over the sea LOL :)

  • @MyChemHungerGames Exactly why i said i'd piss my pants at seeing it xDDDD

  • @JoesGF4ever LOL, even wen I watched the animated preview of the ride on my Lil' Mermaid DVD, I ran into the washroom every time the Ursula part came on!

  • @VANISHMANS123456 Lol.! xDDD

  • ursula's animatronics are awesome 3:23

  • I liked how you keyed in on the their facial expressions so that we could see all the hard work the Imaginers put into the androids well done :D

  • @DeathlyPumpkin, thanks for noticing! Lots of great work in this attraction. Just what DCA needed!

  • @DeathlyPumpkin They're animatronics not androids LOL XD

  • @murdlok " face palm" I totally didn't notice that mislabeled. That is what I get for being an insomniac. I am so sorry Disney Imaginers.

  • I officially rode it. Star tours is better :D

  • Comment removed

  • @disneylandx123 STAR TOURS 3D and this ride are different themed attractions to be compared. My opinion.

  • @murdlok okay

  • i wish it was less animation and more animatronics but i still thought it was really amazing! they really did a great job!!!!

  • @piperandleoxx4 I can't agree on the animation vs. animatronics point.

By looking at the videos, it appears to me that the ride actually has more animatronics than animation.

  • eric looks fine!

  • Transitions need a little work but that's what these soft openings are for I guess.

  • @disneylandx123 The Imagineers planned this preview if the guests at Disney's California Adventure in the Disneyland Resort will love the attraction, so they can put some lightning during the scene of Ursula's Demise and I think they need to dim the lights during the scene Part of your World.

  • @TheAC29 okay

  • OMG I loved it :)
