I dont know , hard to call it nfs , cause nfs was street racing , police shit , tuning ,especially nfs underground 2 , most wanted was good , pro street and shift are similar to gran turismo but the Viper is the coolest car ever . :)

@TheShadowStalker07 The Viper in this game is GREAT! It takes tons of efforts+tuning and getting familiar with it, but it's so worth it. My rated 14 Viper is now beating pretty much ALL the other cars in the same rank, and keep in mind it doesn't have the paddle shifters or even AWD system to keep it under control like many silly drivers out there need so bad LOL!

my uncle works for EA so i got my hands on both games and shifts controling style is like prosteet whever u try to turn it keeps going straight. but anyways i got both games and i gave shift to my cousin and kept NITRO, the graphics may be lower than SHIFT's graphics but trust me NITRO better but shift is a good game if you liked prostreet

NFS games have gone a long way and have tried very different approaches to the racing world, and this Shift sure is one hell of a game. ProStreet was awesome, too, but I think just a little bit too short for me (Still loved it, though). Underground 1 was fun, UNREALISTIC just like Underground 2, but both fun and different. A lot of ignorant people won't agree with what we say, but it's true =]

Carbon's handling was by far better than ProStreet or SHI(f)T's handling. The car actually turns when you hit turn.

In SHIFT (and ProStreet) they totally fucked up the handling. Try turning the car at quite high speeds, it won't fucking turn. Instead it'll just go in the same direction.

Well generally I wouldn't want to turn the car, at high speeds, thats not really a good idea.

An I've had no problems while playing Shift, I love it, so far the best NFS yet.

Instead of all the crap thats been out previously.

Underground was brilliant, loved it, it was then ruined by Carbon, drifting in that game was piss easy, an seeing 20 million videos of "I'm teh greatest drifter" was annoying.

I'm happy that drifting is pretty damn accurate in this game.

Yeah Carbon was easy. I finished it in 1 and a half days. My point was about the handling, not how challenging it was. And I was talking more about normal races, not drifting.

In ProStreet and SHIFT, you could hold the turn key (at high speed) for about 3 seconds and the car would just move maybe an inch to that direction.

You're not supposed to be able to turn the car sharply, floor it in an actual car an you'll soon realise that, Carbon makes driving seem easier >.>

Inertia stops you from immediately moving back the OPPOSITE direction.

Taking a left or right turn in a car shouldn't be effected by too much "inertia" as it does in NFS SHIFT.
