I'm seriously diggin Kast's energy on here, that is what dj'ing is all about, having fun and making sure your listeners / audience is with you while bringing the heat to the ears. Me being on radio for 12 years and doing mixshows is all because what I've learned from the hot 97 dj's before I started on radio. Now it's 17 years since I've been dj'ing all together and I am still on my grind, case in point you gotta have fun in your heart so your listeners can vibe with you.

OK, when I first saw this I was hatin, only because I thought Kast One was doing a lot more talking and adding his drops than anything. But then I realized that this is also an important aspect of DJing. His mixing on this vid is pretty conventional and conservative. But its the energy that he adds to the mix that makes him a good DJ, a radio friendly DJ. I've listened to Kast One live on Hot 97 and he does have skills on the decks too, or he wouldn't be at hiphop's #1 station.

Hot 97 is the mace of the hip hop game. 2nd of all he is on live new york radio. he is doing what every dj dreams of doing play on Hot 97 in New york city and the talent he is displaying in just 3 min is graet his timing and juggling are dead on point and and mic skills are awsome and that is what make him who he is and you and me who we are. A DJ can have no talent on the wheels but as long as he got mic skill he can rock a party.

(I aint a hater of this dj style, but I feel sorry for all yall who have to listen to east coast djs because half of the time, you're listening to the dj and his drops instead of the actual song!)
