  • what the heck

  • this passing train will attract more tourist than the stuff being sold in the market.

  • how is there an advantage to doing this? People are applauding this as if it's desirable, but it seem more of a product of 3rd world Asian overcrowding or something..

  • That is One Covert Ass Train.

  • Customer: um yea I would like some squash with oil, grease, dirt, mud, grime, & guts on them please?

Seller: Okay just wait for the 1:00 train to come thru & they'll be ready just get your camera ready.

    Customer: Okay.

  • i lol'ed when the video said "all things went back to normal as if nothing happened"

  • @meetajhu well this kind of thing happens more than once a day due to regular train schedule. so people over there are very accustomed to it.

  • wtf

  • Sooooo cosy

  • "What? The black mark on the lettuce?--that's just dirt" :P I sure hope the train's whistle never malfunctions.

  • i would go on that train and snatch any goods i can grab

  • @MrOojenkoO Okk.., you are Thai.., I should believe you!! Its amazing to see how people adjust themself.., so easily with all difficulties!!

The only concern is safety..! Well I am Indian from Mumbai and we lack in safety standard as well!!

  • One good posting, Cheers

  • What I never understood is why people in e.g. the Philippines or Thailand have to live and open their stands right next to railroads. Is it more spacious then alesewhere?

  • a bridge is not enouygh practical, it's more handy to do it like this :p lol

  • the train runs through the market 7 days a week 8 times a day lol CRAZY

  • how many train pass there in an hour? does anyone have an idea?

  • bankgkok, i think!!

  • @ravibudela It's not at Bangkok. It's at Samutsongkram near Bangkok.

  • Thailand is FUCKIN UNBELIVABLE...NICE VIDEO dude!

  • COOL ,, I'm Thai but have never been to this place b4!!

  • smart to use mini space

  • If the driver of that train ever had a 'Falling Down' moment, he'd have some fun tearing through that market at 100mph!

  • where abouts in Bangkok is this?

  • veggies with oil and grease on it yummy xD

  • Are they that cramped for space??

  • you just have 2 be kidding me.. that's the only thing this fagget can say...

  • Ha ha wheres the health and safety man?

  • LOL it seems kind of dangerous. I sure hope nobody has gotten killed because of this. I wouldn't buy those vegetables, either. What if some sort of oil or grease fell from the train onto the veggies? :/

  • THere is no such a market like this in Bangkok for sure! Maeklong Market is in Samutsongkram Province which is 2.5 hrs drive from Bangkok.

  • it's so annoying when he repetitively said 'you have got to be kidding me'!!!!!!!!!!

  • that´s is real camouflage. :))

  • писец

  • why

    why

    why

relocate the market to a safer place. bitch

  • I would have taken a huge dump right on top of the vegies if I knew they did that....

  • india lol

  • No this is siam. they speak siamese :)

  • Siam was re-named Thailand on June 23, 1939.

They are Thai people, probably speaking Thai, though there are about 15 languages spoken across Thailand!

This is, as has already been stated, the Maeklong Market in Bangkok, capital of Thailand.

    Hope that helps!

  • @zak1989145 :

this is maeklong market bangkok thailand

  • you got to be kidding me ?

  • this video should rename into RAILWAY MARKET not TRAIN MARKET. train market means there is a market establishments inside the train.

  • lmao

  • after that train ...that vegatables... lost hes price by 90 % lol

btw what if the train has brake problems.. and comes with 80 miles.. then next market people would sell bones and skulls of dead people

  • re my previous post... if anyone else, of course, can add info, that'd be great :-)

  • @jrbazil commented that this is actually not in Bangkok but Samut Songkram province, about 1.5 hours drive southwest of Bangkok. Can he/she add any more info? How often do the trains come?

  • NOOOOO!!!!!

    ★★★★★

  • They're super laid-back -Not retarded!

-If they were even cooler, they'd place the vegetables on the rails & have the train chop & slice 'em as it went by !

  • Yer crazy dood.

    LOL

  • Wow... Thats amazing! I didn't think human beings could be so retarded...

  • its amazing.. I thought this thing only happen in china.

  • WOW!

  • Wow, that is just amazing! Wonder if that is (Federal Railroad Association) compliant? :-D

A great example of TOD - Transit On Development! :)

    Thanks for the video!

  • Not dangerous.

They know the train is coming and know the clearances.

    Funny.

I'd like to see the view from the train cab and rear of the train.

Confucius say: Man who rush through airport turnstile going to Bangkok.

  • Amazing.... where in bangkok exactly is this?

  • @jrbazil - not in Bangkok. It's in Samut Songkram province, about (from memory) 1.5 hours drive southwest of Bangkok. I saw this market for myself in 2009.

  • wtf =O!!!

    that is super cool.!!

i wish im the driver of that train and just blow my horn until i pass that market .!! lol that would be funny.!!!

  • buisiness as usaull

  • what!?

  • "you cat to be cidding me"

  • Ghetto. As. Fuck.

  • Thats looks dangerous and weird:/ i guess people overthere has gotten used to it that its normal to them....of all the place to make market or whatever..why exact next to train track...are these people playing with their lifes? strange whats normal or not normal in some countries....go figure..:/

  • everything is a matter of perspective. people in the developing countries may find it weird if they see us living on high rise instead of living in mud walled dwellings. what is weird to us, may be okay to some people in other parts of the world.

  • yea i understand that...i grew up in asia dont get me wrong..in this kinda district where they have market and such as well..mostly ive seen market in the middle of the city or in a big parking line...so the market or proverty is not weird to me at all..ive just never seen one next the train market....u have to admit thats dangerous evho people r used to it thats its become sorta life style...am surprised if accident havent happened at all.someone should do somethin bout it..for the peeps sake

  • @TheRockstarLullaby Ha ha you're so niave. They don't want to live in mud houses or have their markets on top of train tracks or not have clean drinking water and working hostpitals, they have to live that way because they're poor.

  • WTF

  • Why do they set up on the track?

  • We have that too in Mexico >>...

  • they could bulid an elevated train line....

  • yeah they could, but it would be too costly for them. the money could be channeled to a much better use for these thai citizens

  • that was great

  • thats fucking insane -_-

  • tell me about it. i got the shock of my life when i was there in person. it was UNBELIEVABLE!

  • That awful! as is allowed to make the market in the middle of the line??? must be many accidents ------

    greetings

  • XD thai people are so sneaky and pro. this just proves it lol i got thai friend but man this is amazing. lol has there been any deaths cuz this anyone know?

  • I'm thai had to go there 5 time ago

and just gone here again it like normal but i still amazing . train past like nothing here !!!

they 's not poor people or low market .

this 's just part of local life .

    i love thailand

  • oh! haha

    i like this market

  • Are they that poor, that they can't relocate to another place?

  • now that's packing as much as you can into a small area.

  • wuauuu!!!!!!! incredibile!

  • that's crazy

  • the train so slow like in manila the train looks the same but slower and the food shuld be destroyed

  • O______O

  • ตลกดีอ่ะ

    การรถไฟ

    555.

  • Its actually sad...these people have no room the population is too big.

  • "Its actually sad...these people have no room the population is too big." (jarzynkamalinka)

It has nothing to do with population size.

  • Hahahaha....That was freak'n awesome.

The most unique market in the world.

The funniest part is that after the train leaves. Everything went back to normal as if nothing happened. ROFL...

  • crazy market

  • the train shuold just belt it at 100mph nd crush them all aahah

  • classic

  • hahahahaaa lmao, thats a hell of a place to put up a market at rofl hahahaa

  • @ruler1978 Well the market was there first! Its more like what a hell of a place to put a railway!

  • haha XDD

  • Thailand

  • why do they not just move there stallls further away from the track

  • I feel bad for thoose people, but the system seems to work rather well.

  • LMAO

    that was awesome/funny

  • shut the fuck up.

  • And to tell you the truth, Bangkok was ranked by "Travel and Leisure," as the best city in the world for the year 2008....

    Check it out!!!!

  • It is not even in Bangkok!!!!!...It's rather the periphery around it where it is densely populated by so many diverse working people...that's one of the slum and poor-conditioned area outside of Bangkom as an impact of poverty and global economic crisis!..I'm sure many major cities do have very poor-conditioned area that people force themselves to live. Anyway, Bangkok is still an angel city and its charm and magnificent beauty attracts millions of visitors worldwide.

  • is it near Maeklong Station.???

  • Yep. It's right in the Mae Klong Market.

  • just wait until one day the brakes are broken and the train cant stop. thats gonna be hell

  • haha cool im going there soon.

    Erin :D

    NZ

  • OMG!!!!!!!!

  • FYI, the lavatories in the trains drain waste directly on the track. So, seeing the vegies under the train while thinking someone may be using a toilet in the train.

    Bon appetite!

  • I would hope that the refuse drains would wait until they pass the market. What a yucky thought though

  • i would puposely poop right in the middle of the market, hehe

  • ye ye thtz how u do it lol

  • But maybe it's a short train with no toilet in the first place.

  • Damn! Way too close for my comfort. You're exactly right after the train passes, "You've got to be kidding me."

  • Where is this?

  • We have "never yell FIRE in a crowded theater"--they have "never yell TRAIN in a crowded market" ----Hope it's never early :-P

Have to visit there one day.

  • this is unorthodox

  • Yep there are no hazards with this set up....but even with the risks i gotta admit that is a very efficient way to save space.
