We went east... to Atlanta... Worst place to go to try and escape the precieved horrors of Oklahoma. We are now heading back to our Oklahoma town, Stillwater. This song brought a tear to my eye! Thank you so much for sharing it. So much truth in your words, and I think an Okie who leaves will feel the same. Can I get an audio copy to download? Would love this on a CD!!
This is a further development of the theme you recently set forth in your excellent song An Ordinary Life. I love 'em both. If the writer of My Oklahoma Town was Bruce Springsteen (and I'll bet he would love this song), it would be all over the airwaves.
Where is there room in your head for one more great song? I can't wait to turn on this computer every day, God knows what I will find under Bitch Gibson. Nice job again.
Thanks TBC.....I take that as a grea compliment....Much Appreciated Buddy... and truth be known.....There's really not much else up there in that head of mine.~!
.This is why i love youtube.

I like this song. I've traveled those dusty backroads with a 6 pk of Bud Light myself a few times and it was quite inspiring.

You are the only one on YT so far that can write a five and a half minute song that I'll listen to the whole thing! Man, you are definitely good!
