getting arrested is the point, man. by getting arrested for a victimless "crime" and being peaceful you make a statement, more powerful of a statement than simply sitting on the sidewalk with a sign and chanting. Plus, these people didn't resist arrest the way many others have in the videos i've seen which is what can lead to police brutality. These people made more of a statement themselves than the entire protest managed to do, and they did it right.
