From transitions from songs (& dynamics), the way the key switched at 3:14 to "back that thang up" to a key where it didnt lose intensity, kept tempo, excitement right around the corner, from a few notes to a build up into the beautiful arrangement, DAWG! Dey did dey thang and dats wat NSU's all about!

Like my previous comment states. Much like FAMU you can never say NSU sounds bad. Even if I don't care for the tunes, it goes without question that the musician is always intact. However, it still stands that I didn't enjoy this mix as much as I thought I would until the last tune. It's solid, just didn't do it for me.

Both high schoold perfomed half-time shows after the game and Norfolk did this "spirit mix" to thank them for coming by...I would say seeing the Legion in person that day opened alot of those kids eyes to consider going to Norfolk to play in the band and/or to get a degree in Music..They have a GREAT band and music program at NSU...
Miller Grove High School in Lithonia, GA (suburb of Atlanta) and Sowuthwest Dekalb High School in Decatur, GA (suburb of Atlanta) were in Virginia during that weekend and decided to drop by Norfolk State University to check on the Legion. Norfolk has a special connection to Miller Grove, not only because they sound like a mini-Legion but because Miller Grove hosted the Legion when they made their first trip to the Honda Battle of The Band in Atlanta in2007

Im a Booker T. Washington High school graduate and joined marching band BECAUSE of this badn. This performance was Beutiful as i expected beacuse NSU always has that ONE song that will make any1 stfu. However this past year overall they have let me down greatly and made me kind of glad i chose not to stay home. I am a member of Savannah State University marching band and after a few people from home came down to see us perform i was told that we could take NSU this year and make them look twice

They sound even better in this segment. I felt it run threw my ears straight down to my soul. I can feel the hearts from this group of people. Make love to those instruments, make love... NSU, great sound!!! A&T hasn't been relevant since the year they played Southern in Las Vegas, and even after that game, their numbers plummeted...Some people make themselves look so stupid you just feel sorry for them...Do you think nobody has heard clips of A&T during those years you SUPPOSEDLY embarassed NSU?? I don't know what Lala land you've been living in, but The Legion has been using A&T to wipe they behinds with for the past several years. Even this supposed new A&T is still the same ol crappy sounding A&T, with less sound and severly lacking high brass, namely trumpets.
