My vet tried to show me how to do this for my chi...yeah, no thanks I said I was happy to keep paying him to do it. He was like "it's like squeezing a pimple" and I mentioned that I don't know about him, but my pimples don't shoot out sulfuric poop leftovers.
I don't know why it makes them itch but it does. I think it kind of feels like hemorrhoids. The fill up and then they...I don't know. Shit. lol. I was just trying to help owners that didn't know it could be a problem. I have no idea why it itches. LOL

My cat has anal glands. This is all the same. Operated cats don't smell as bad but it's all the same.
When they, cats or dogs, mark their territory, they put those glands to use.
It is foul but that's how they're...built. That's life, bro.
