He is very slow and it's not much of a basement. He should have someone shooting grade for him. We usually have someone paint a dot on the ground where the grade is good. Also digging the footer as you go with the 5 foot bucket is much better, that way you can use form-a-drain and go ahead and get your drans in. Dig the floor about 3 inches low for rock and then go down 7 inches for your footer, giving yourself a 10" footer
