  • My goal is going back and watching all of the movies from Siskel and Ebert's worst of. I'm going to have so many laughs.

  • Why does the Power Rangers movie clip have the music from Supergirl the movie?.

  • I saw 'Scarlet Letter' and 'Showgirls' at the theater that year. 'Scarlet Letter' was empty on opening night, my husband and I were only surrounded by 4 other couples on a bustling Friday night at a new theater in town. As for 'Showgirls' we went went with friends from work, the movie was sold out except for the late 10:30 show. Fun movie, besides the graphic rape scene that put off a few of our friends. I've always enjoyed Showgirls in a trashy kind of way!

  • ..Showgirls wasn't that bad lol

  • ..world water was a good Summer popcorn fun movie.. people are too harsh on Water World..

  • i thought waterworld was ok, i liked everything in it except the main characters

(srsly, KC is boring as hell and the little girl cant swim on a planet covered by water)

  • I AM THA LAWH!!!!!

  • hey. Waterworld was awesome.

  • @fosponomot uh-huh, you just keep telling yourself that...

  • @fosponomot Waterworld awesome? I agree it's entertaining to a fault, but Costner's a bore, and the plot holes are way too big to ignore. I enjoyed watching it the first time, but good luck getting me to watch it again.

  • Will anyone judge me if I say I was mildly entertained by Tank Girl?

  • People criticize Batman and Robin, justly so, but Batman Forever and Batman returns were practically as bad. Well, the one with Jim Carey was at least funny, but they were still very poor quality.

  • i have seen Power Rangers The movie, and i am a power rangers fan cause its a good movie.

  • 6:32 Funny how he feels the needs to yell at Judge Dredd before shooting him.

  • Why do so much people hate Power Rangers?

  • siskel and ebert over anylize and hate everything nowadays. news flash you 2 not every flick is supposed to be like gone with the wind. PR the movie is a cheesy yet kickass kids action-adventure pure and simple... wonder how these geezers can't understand that very simple concept.

  • @GladDestronger Siskel's dead, bro.

  • I NEVER BROKE THE LAW! I AM THE LAW!!

  • @CH3Jason

    "LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!!"

    XD

  • Judge Dredd is one of those movies that are so bad they're good.

  • @BPReviewer Nah, it's just bad. :)

  • @CVargas But fun bad.

  • 1:52 what the movie i wanted them to review :D

  • they bitched about Power Rangers the Movie? honestly? i mean... okay, its not a good movie, not by a long shot... but i dare to say that, compared to some other crap i've seen, its kinda harmless. it won't make kids any dumber at least. i mean, what is Power Rangers? a couple kids have super powers and know martial arts and they beat up aliens who want to take over the world. that's different from many other cartoons, comics, video games, etc, how exactly?

  • "Tank Girl" is a "Mad Max" rip-off.

  • 6:20 - :34 He should've placed him under arrest.

  • oh what did ugly ebert say about it? oh which old movie should I see?

  • haha tank Girl was total shit!

  • Ebert is the worst of any year

  • omg is Ebert wearing the exact same outfit as in the 1994 worst special?

  • 2:13 - 2:33 What the hell is that Jerry Goldsmith's score to Supergirl I hear?

  • Well, you can give Judge Dredd some credit, it gave us DA LAAAAWWLL

  • @humanconvertile No it broke the law by not placing that guy under arrest.

  • It's a lie! The evidence has been falsified! It's impossible. Inever brokedalawIamdalaw!

  • Man No young boy wanna go see The Little Princess and Babe we wanna see Shit blow up hits Mighty Morphing Power Rangers

  • sorry guys, tank girl ruled..

  • @xandria201 She sadly looked dumb and said she had '2' words instead of '3.'

  • how funny are the shots of the empty theatre

  • Mighty Morphin Power Ranges was God Awful. I couldn't even watch it as child.

  • I like Gene's intro :-)

  • WTF was I thinking watching the Powers Rangers, I was only 8yrs old when the movie came and soon learn to hate it LOL. I read the Scarlet Letter in High School and watched the original movie since the 90's one had sex and have to say the older version and book was better, just hate drawn out sex scenes!

  • 2:08 ...and the designs of their helmets and the emblems on their chests and their weapons...

  • Hey, Roger, I hated the Power Rangers too, but you're a film critic, not a child psychologist.

  • I know Power Rangers is technically bad but it defined my childhood so I still love it.

  • the 90's were the best :D

  • Man,Power Rangers was so ridiculously awful !

90's summer movies were some of the absolute worst.

  • Comment removed

  • i feel so sorry for them they had to watch power rangers

  • Only thing good about Showgirls is the ass and tits. And I hate to admit it, but I saw Water World in theaters. Not only a waste of time, but a waste of money as well

  • The mighty morphin Power Rangers=Worst characters ever. That movie makes "Transformers" look like a masterpiece. "Waterworld" wasnt that bad tho---it got a bad rap IMO."Batman and Robin" was one of the worst ever."Judge Dredd" was so bad that it was actually funny.

  • 8:24 - :27 That's '3' words.

  • Disagree about Waterworld. That got a bad rap. It's quite good, actually.

  • batman and robin sucks...george clooney is the worst batman ever....even val kilmer was better

  • Man, I miss the 90's. Those times were Heaven compared to today.

  • Worst movie of the 90's you ask? Showgirls.

  • Judge Dredd. Possibly the worst movie of the 90s.

  • @HolySasquatchTurd no I think Batman & Robin is worst than Judge Dredd

  • @JayDee284 that's 1997, dude.

  • @JayDee284 I agree ..Judge Dredd was kinda campy fun..But Batman and Robin...uuungh!!

  • Hmm... I'm starting to see a pattern between the Nostalgia Critic and Siskel and Ebert.

  • I like to think Scarlet Letter was made because Gary Oldman demanded to bang Demi Moore while dressed like a pilgrim, and nobody wanted to tell him no.

  • @blindthrall Bahahaha!!!

  • @blindthrall this is the exact, undeniable truth.

  • You know, Ebert's reaction about kids seeing Mighty Morphin Power Rangers over quality family films pretty much sums up my reaction about kids seeing Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel and G-Force over Coraline, Where The Wild Things Are, and Fantastic Mr. Fox. Weird, isn't it?

  • They complain about losing hours of their lives to bad movies, well, it's not like their aren't getting paid to see bad movies.

  • @acrovader How would 'you' feel having to watch bad films?

  • 5:02 - :07 'Another' reason to hate Waterworld, Kevin jumped like a mermaid.

He can do 'much' better than 'that.'

  • I'm surprised the film industry survived the year...

    Everybody's got AIDS and shit!

    You Betrayed the LAWL!!

Not to mention Elizabeth Berkeley and the worst fake nails I've ever seen!

  • God, he's right. The make up on that chick is horrendous.

  • how about some FOOD?!

  • "People leave the theater feeling empty because it hasn't done anything for them... for their imaginations. They've just passively absorbed explosions and special effects and chases, and after a while, it just deadens you."

The last 15 years of Hollywood summed up in just two sentences.

  • 1995, the year of bad 2000 A.D. movie spin offs.

  • waterworld was decent , not great but watchable

  • @rrrorkk the problem with Waterworld is it is 100% stolen from Road Warrior. Everything dirt, search for water=everything water, search for dirt. Civilized group surrounded by psychos on various vehicles, loner anti-hero with souped up car/boat, leader of bad guys gives speeches and has face damage, wild little boy/little girl. Pathetically unoriginal.

  • @jefffawcett meh most movies made in america are ripped off from something these days , mad max 2 as the rest of the world calls it is a favourite of mine but i still think waterworld is ok, it has its moments

  • waterworld was alright, better then they give it credit for

  • 99% of Demi Moore's movies are total crap. Also, I liked Showgirls--the reason being is that the acting and dialogue are so AWFUL that it's unintentionally funny!

  • Aw, I love Judge Dredd...

  • Tracking!

  • I'm just going thank God one of these guys are dead and the other can't speak. Both are snide and stupid. Besides, some of their worst movies turned into studio profit. Finally, no one cares for what a critic has to say back in 95 or even today. They are noting more than comedic fodder.

  • @mlrobins2

I spy with my little eye something beginning with T and ending with roll

  • @mlrobins2 yeah because if a movie makes a ton of movie than in must be good.. you an idiot.

  • @homer912 wow, what terrible grammar, you are an idiot. Sounds more suffice. Jackass

  • @mlrobins2, however much money a movie brings in means precisely dick towards the film's quality, meet the spartans was no. 1 at the box office when it opened(a part of my soul died typing that), & if it hadn't been for avatar, transformers 2 would have been the highest grossing movie of last year, & that thought is just disgusting.

  • @harlanmiller People know these movies suck though. My sisters not as smart as me, but after meet the spartens she will never go watch another of this 'date movie, disaster movie' garbage. People do learn, and I can promise you the 3rd transformers film will be nowhere near as succesful as the 2nd.

  • @mlrobins2, also, here's a small list of movies that tanked at the box office but have become widely beloved: citizen kane, the shawshank redemption, fight club, it's a wonderful life, office space. it's a funny old world, isn't it?

  • siskel and ebert must have really been angry to have to sit through the power rangers movie lol

  • I SO hated Tank Girl. I would rather cut off my own testicles with a rusted razor than sit through that miserable garbage again!!!

  • "She just doesn't look good, I'm talking about her face." LMAO

  • i feel like the power rangers movie shouldnt have been on the list, i mean i loved it when i was little and its just a kids movie

  • @StuckeyMurdog

Fast food "kids meals" are for kids and the kids generally love them. Doesn't mean parents should buy them that garbage.

  • @KiloByte69 movies and food cant really be compared, fast food is unhealthy, power rangers was just a shitty movie to adults

  • @TROMAbryce I dunno, did you know it was a comic? (What's with the question mark?)

Yeah, it was a comic book long, long before it was a terrible movie. It was created by a talented team of writers and artists. Stallone got involved for the money, took over the project, brought in the always terrible Rob Schneider and made a haims of things. Yes, I am a nerd, and proud of it. And I read everything, not just comics. To quote Ebert "Face it, your movie sucked!"

  • @TROMAbryce Aw...don't cry about it.

I like Stallone. He knows his limits, and his strengths. The one unfortunate mistake he made, however, was doing this film. He did it for the money, and nothing more, yet managed to turn a whole host of comic book fans against him.

  • waterworld was so bad it hurt my brain

  • poor showgirl's cast. they got in shape for no reason

  • @roxieheart100 LOL! OMG, that's funny. They did all that working out for nothin'.

  • Gee dude, ya had the same crappy VCR for 2 years?

  • I DIDNT BRAKE THE LAW I AM THE LAW

  • @TheDEATHSTARIII Now we've got Big Boy Caprice talking.

  • like who cares what they have 2 say 2 dopes who get paid 2 trash other ppls hard work and achievements just by the way they talk about movies is so annoying

  • Now that I see that clip again, Gene was right -- Elizabeth Berkley did not look good in Showgirls -- if you see Any Given Sunday, she looked way better

  • oh my god hahaha. Judge Dredd. "Let me guess, life. Boom. Death." That is just mind numbingly stupid.

  • They were right about Tank Girl and Judge Dredd. Dredd was spectacularly bad because the hero who was meant to be the "Law" could not even say the word "Law" correctly.

Money train was boring. An obvious cash in on White Men Can't Jump.

  • Hey i Liked Juge Dredd

  • I liked Money Train, J-Lo was so hot in it.

  • "Judge Dredd" is just "Cobra" in the future, minus the awesomeness.

  • I love Tank Girl so much.

  • Wow, the nostalgia critic reviewed almost all of these!!

  • I hated the ending of that version of "The Scarlet Letter." It is one of the worst piece of crap in history.

  • I agree Water World is one of the worst movies ever. Kevin Costner ruined a lot of his credibility with that piece of crap.

  • @Euroheat0022 Then he killed the rest of it with "The Postman."

  • @Euroheat0022

If you think that was bad, check out the box office bomb that was The Postman. Also with Costner.

  • Making "The Scarlet Letter" a romance with a happy ending?

What dumbass thought that up??? The Scarlet Letter is about living with the consequences of one's actions. The only sex in the book was at the very beginning and it was hinted at. The preacher was the adulterer and throughout the entire book his keeping quiet about his sins was killing him slowly.

    What a piece of ****

  • I AM THE LAW!!!

  • @ 4:46 Horny Japanese guy "We Sing." Lol

  • 3:28 LOL! Someone had to stop Ebert there... "Settle down, settle down!"

4:02 HAHAHA "I'm talking about her face" hahaha

Judge Dredd wasn't that bad. It was entertaining, so at least it did something compared to really bad films.

  • I loved the Power Rangers movie as a kid.

  • This may be overly nostalgic, but I do kind of miss VHS.

  • I didn't like the book the Scarlet Letter, and the movie made it worse

  • The reason both men have and will die diseased and mutilated is because they didn't like Judge Dredd

  • "She just doesn't look good. I mean her face!" Man thats cold but now that i look at the clips again he has a point. The makeup was bad.

  • "AUBLABUAUAUBLARAWALAW!!! AUGLABLABLABLAWAWABRALAW!! I AM THE LAW!!!!!!"

  • DEMI MOORE CANNOT NOW, NOR HAS SHE EVER BEEN ABLE TO ACT EVEN A LITTLE BIT!

  • Where are the Professional Critics now, when we need them to warn us off the terrible movies currently showing. IS there any show on TV where real critics give a real and critical discussion on current films. I'm not talking about Pinhead / Pea-brains on the local news. I mean real critics. If there is any show out there please let me knwo I would love to watch it before I go to the movies.

  • Elizabeth Berkley was hot, but the producers of Showgirls made her over like a dockside whore. They must have applied her make up with a trowel.

  • I AM THE LAW!!!

  • judge dredd wasnt really that bad imo

  • she just doesn't look good, i'm talking about her FACE

    sick burn from siskel, lol

  • @Chubachus Sorry but he's right.

  • As not good as MMPR may be, it's WAY BETTER than Babe.

  • James Remar is a fine actor, but he should be ashamed at the way he delivered that line, "Let me guess...Life. AAAAAAAAAAAAGGHH!" That being said, "Judge Dredd" is a truly guilty pleasure of mine, along with "Showgirls."

  • Power rangers movie.........good times! i know its bad but i 'd prob enjoy it if i watched it again.

  • I just can't believe that I actually liked Mighty Morphing Power Rangers as a kid. I can't believe it i tell you.

  • @SolidSnake032486 By the numbers after your name, I am guessing that I am very nearly a year younger than you. I remember that in first grade, Power Rangers was my life.

  • What's with the SUpergirl music in the Power Rangers movie?

  • I love Money Train!

  • I bet your friends called you crazy for recording all these At The Movies episodes on VHS. I bet you had a huge shelf dedicated to this show, and you spent years secretly doubting the significance of that stack of cassettes. But at the end of the day, you told yourself: "One day... One day, these tapes will have a purpose, and my efforts will have not been for nothing!"

And now, with Youtube, your life has become fulfilled.

  • @JohnyJoe Amen!

  • @JohnyJoe Why do people have to be so mean? You watched this video, you clicked on it presumably because you wanted to see what Siskel and Ebert thought at the time were the worst movies of 1995, and then you leave a nasty sarcastic comment belittling the person who published it? Of course one expects this to happen on a public forum, but what makes me angry is that instead of falling rapidly into obscurity like this comment should have it's been voted up by 56 people over ten months. Pathetic.

  • @MrHeslopian ....Nothing of what I said was belittling or mean, and everything you said was.

Ditch your internet police badge and gain a sense of humour.

  • @JohnyJoe Implying someone has no life isn't mean? Huh. Criticising the popularity of a comment which implies an innocent user has no life is mean? Again, huh. I did not know that. By the way, is the sea still the sea and is a chair still a chair? You know, because, if I can be wrong about what I thought was obvious derision then I could be incorrect about any number of things. And that reminds me: what did come first? The chicken or the egg?

  • @MrHeslopian Re-read everything you've typed. You're acting like a complete pompous jerk - sorry if that's harsh, but it's true. I was being playful. Go fight your crusade somewhere else please.

Oh, and way to be twice as belittling in your defence to being called belittling. Classy.

  • @JohnyJoe Re-read everything you've typed and see how mean and hurtful your original statement was. Can't take it sarcasm? Then don't dish it out.

  • @MrHeslopian Uhh, right back at you? You're not doing a good job at whatever you're trying to do. I didn't say anything mean spirited or hurtful to anyone and I still don't get how you thought I was. You're trying too damn hard to be a force of authority. It's not working out.

Please move on. You're ruining this comment section with your bickering.

  • @JohnyJoe I'm not trying to be a force of authority. I just grow tired of people being mean for no reason on youtube videos, and think they should be given a taste of their own medicine. I notice you haven't once directly quoted or referenced your original comment. Why? I think because you knew you were being spiteful and now you've been challenged don't want to admit it.

  • @MrHeslopian Or maybe because I don't care to argue with you? You just admitted you're being argumentative and hypocritical "to prove a point." Well, you've proven nothing to me except that people can take anything you say and spin it into something you didn't mean. Thanks for that.

  • @JohnyJoe I was being hypocritical to prove a point? That's such a moronic paradox I feel like my head is going to explode. I don't think I've ever directly attacked you. I've been sarcastic yes, and I feel you were hypocritical in being offended by my sarcasm, but unlike you I haven't said anything directly hurtful. I've attacked what you said, not you personally. Furthermore, if you don't care to argue with me then, erm, why are you arguing with me?

  • @MrHeslopian Because you won't stop. You started this, and you keep rambling on in these annoying, giant, pointless internet bickerings even thought I've done nothing to defend myself except state that there were no mean intentions behind my original post - which there seriously, honestly weren't.

But here you go. You just called me moronic, and before you called me pathetic. How's that for direct? There is no paradox in saying you were being hypocritical to prove a point - none whatsoever.

  • @MrHeslopian My original post was sarcastic in that there was no honesty behind it. I playfully joked that the person who hosted this video obsessively collected VHS tapes of At the Movies. Your posts are blatantly sarcastic in that you're trying to condescend me. Which is meaner?

"And that reminds me: what did come first? The chicken or the egg?"

Give me a freakin break. Anyways I'm going to go back to not being a lonely internet bully. Bye.

  • @JohnyJoe "And now, with Youtube, your life has become fulfilled." Yeah, that's really playful. "Obsessively collected VHS tapes." So you admit you thought the user an obsessive and thus were making fun of him? You thought they obsessively collected the tapes, seeming like they had no life? I love the fact you defend yourself on the grounds that your original comment was dishonest and attack me because mine are "blatant." You're right. You are dishonest and I am, at least, open.

  • I love watching Gene and Roger rip up and destroy these bad movies!

  • No film was worse than "Showgirls" that year.

  • *swish swish swish*

    Ninja frog sword

  • i wish that their review of Power Rangers was available on the website. that would've been their BEST REVIEW EVER!

  • 0:15 facepalm

  • LOL @ when Siskel talks to Stallone. That was fucking funny!

Wish we could see something like that on TV these days. All the "critics" are passive pussies!

  • I AM THE LAW

  • Thanks for posting all of these old Siskel and Ebert shows. I've really enjoyed watching them Gradepoint.

  • Judge Dredd is top 3 worst films ever made.

  • oh ok now i finally get it about why kevin costners movies are so hated by critics, hes just miserable on screen and to anyone sharing the screen with him,hes always like pissed off and annoyed like"shut up,get outve my way and let me show you how to perform this particular task or social interaction the correct way"

  • If you're gonna make a movie, make a great movie or a horrible movie. Don't make an avarage movie, because they don't get as much attention as the two extremities.

  • Did the 'Power Rangers' movie really re-use Jerry Goldsmith's music for 'Supergirl'?

  • stallone is awesome, but judge dredd sucked

  • hahah i have to disagree with the power rangers movie. i grew up watching it and will love it forever

  • I totally agree with Siskel about Waterworld, that movie sucked...

  • Believe it or not, Sylvester Stallone CAN act when the spirit moves him. Ditto Burt Reynolds and others who have made so many bad movies yet still occasionally deliver a surprisingly good performance when the moon and the stars are aligned properly. Oh well, the temptation to sell out has always been, and always will be, one of the perils of being involved in show business. At least Stallone kept his booty from selling out, Reynolds didn't in the end even hold onto the gold. Peace.
