  • Seems like fun job.. But, as far as i know, scientist work in the group. Am i right?

  • @leeti329 At the hospital I work at we don't actually do phlebotomy except rarely on outpatients when our phlebotomy staff are very busy. In three years I have probably performed phlebotomy on around 10 patients.

  • Im watching Laughing, I am an MLT and I was like Yeah thats it lol

  • @Dawnofanewday not sure where you work but that looks nothing like the lab I work in. We are busy all the time and there is always something that needs to be done.

  • @Mrs82C Most of the time we are busy too, but I work third shift, so you have those nights. When it's insanely slow. Had one a couple of days ago. Longest ten hours of my life.

  • Would you mind telling us your salary?

  • looks like you taking it eazy amigo...........

  • I liked your video, I found it while looking for ideas for my essay. I am applying for Suny and I am racking my brain on how to nail the essay. Your video put a smile on my face.

  • This video and song seems to be meant to portray this as a very boring and unsatisfying career. Is that what you're saying?

  • Nice! im actually on the verge of finishing my bs in molecular biology and biotechnology. do you actually have to draw blood from patients then analyze it? or what aspect do you specialize in

  • I have to agree with jay it's the people u work with that makes or breaks a job, I would recommend biotech or some kind of research degree in addition to the clinical lab degree, ull have more options then if u want to advance ur lab career.

  • seems like the perfect job for me! im a total introvert.

  • @veronicachic ...I'm no introvert but I do like my job. However, I feel like I learned way too much for what I do, kind of under-challenged. As with any job, it's the persons you work with that make the difference.

  • @Jayoftheguntertribe , I know how you feel! Lol

  • @Jayoftheguntertribe To be a clinical laboratory scientist, what are the education requirements?

  • @donshan123 In the United States (for most hospitals) you need to have a 2 year (associates) to be a Medical Laboratory Technician or a 4 year (bachelors) to be a Medical Laboratory Scientist. The hospital I work at prefers to hire people with the 4 year degree because they are more versatile in which areas they can work at and the type of testing they can perform.

  • @Mrs82C Oh okay, thank you for that information.

  • @Mrs82C hye

i am a medical laboratory technologist in a program in the AUC here in Egypt but i wana to ask u about the difference between (Technician and Technologist ) there ?? and about the salaries there ?? and how to apply ??? i hope to listen to u

    THANK YOU........

  • wow, I WISH most labs were that uncrowded and quiet! Must be nice to work in a place where you actually get to sit down!

  • @dndpaints agreed. We never sit down for more that maybe a minute at a time.

  • This captures the jobber perfectly

  • soon my new job

  • i'm aiming to be a clinical laboratory technician, this is pretty cool :) btw whats the name of the song?
