  • This is a CONCRETE STRUCTURE not sure how many insects actually eat cncrete nor closed cell foam, none I am aware of. Soot and other interior fumes are vented out and with the large windows plus dehumidifier condensation and mold is a non issue. This module was used for training sub contractors and yes all finishing can be smoothed out, view updated video of completed dome exterior to see the cosmetic finish using synthetic stucco. Where will you go when the wind blows.

  • what about insect infestation? Aren't trailer homes made from much of this same material? they attract lots of insects. And then, what about soot from the kitchen, condensation etc.? Mold build-up? Could they smooth over the foam with something smooth?

  • It looked quite impressive until 1:55. Now that's just nasty!

  • This dome is concrete with foam on the exterior currently developing a dome made entirely out of closed cell foam.

  • Hey..any details on how it's made?..the cost? I've always wanted to make a foam dome home.

  • Hi Buck, thanks for taking the time to video your project. Great looking result that I'm sure your happy with.
