  • do you feel like I doooo...snorting cocaine and writing a half n hour song....

  • Life has been good, Thank you Peter Framtone and his family, friends and supporters Lets do it again is in my days of building back at 5+. I support live music here in the sticks thanks to you back in the day

  • i seen frampton in1977 in memphis tn at the mid south colusem jimi jameson an target was the opening act..great show ..it was a lot of mary jane wrapped in strawberry paper being passed a round..

  • The Gibson guitar Frampton played this concert with was thought to have been destroyed in a plane crash in 1980. The guitar has turned up on the Caribbean island of Curaçao, and is now back in the hands of Peter and is being restored to it's configuration in 1975. He will be talking it on the road this year.

  • this was a good song to hear when you were on weed back then. I remember those good old days. ha.ha.

  • When he goes to the key change at 0:35 and hits the treble switch and slams the chorus peddle. The hair on the back of my neck stands up..

Its like HERE WE GO... !!!

  • @roquefortfiles I know so well put together you must be a producer to catch that one.I fucking this song.

  • just like I remember it.

  • Love Frampton!!!!

  • Love it and always will!!!!

  • ME TOO!!!!

  • amazing guitar solo !

  • I despise the shorter radio version of this, it removes all of the awesome feeling and great presence of the killer atmosphere. I've listened to this so many times (when I was a kid) that I have completely memorized each and every note. :) Peter is da man.

  • Recorded at San Francisco's Winterland Theater, June 14, 1975. Got that from the 25th anniversary reissue.

  • Is this the live version from Easttown Theatre in Detroit, MI?

  • gonna have to see if this song has been Tabbed out somewhere.Would feel like a great accomplishment to be able to play this song on guitar.

  • hell yeah!!!!!!!

  • gonna see him today :D

  • One of the greatest rock tunes of all time. The popularity of this in 1976-77 caught everyone by surprise....even Peter. The problem is after this enormous hit Peter was kinda just lumped in with other artists such as Leif Garrett, Shaun Cassidy, and eventually the Bee Gees. Things became very obscure.

  • Best live of all times, rock rulessss.

  • El vivo Peter Frampton yet tonight...

  • THESE GUYS STILL ROCKING SAW THEM AT THE HARD ROCK HOLLYWOOD FL STILL KILLING IT TILL THIS DAY GREAT SHOW!!!!!!!

  • Pass me that dube....

  • Gonna see him next Tuesday in Austin....Gonna be epic!!!!

    Hes my uncle you know

  • @KillinUGood wow are you telling the truth? That must be awesome!

  • @KillinUGood YOUR UNCLE IS AN ICON BRO!!!

  • @1TICKHAND

That concert in Austin was so tight, he did the entire Frampton comes alive album ( took about 2 hours) then he started in on some Humble Pie songs for the next hour. Everyone had a great time, and he recorded the whole session for release as the next Frampton comes alive 35 yr anniversary album!

P.S. he is really my 5th cousin once removed, not my uncle directly.

  • Killer Guitarist!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I had this song back in the day and played it until it got warn out.

  • i think is going to do a concert in portugal

  • What I don't get is how part 2 has less than 1/2 the views of part 1. Over half a million people listened to part 1 and then didn't finish? smh It appears that well over half of the 1.3 million viewers of this iconic anthem listened to only the first half! MEMO if this song IS new to you, do not fail to listen to part 2!

  • Thanks Dad x

  • 2:20 button for getting high off of guitar

  • The Live LP Version.. So smooth.. WOW

  • I saw Peter Frampton in Toronto summer 1980...It was a great friendy show...;))))

  • This guy kicks fucking ass !!!

  • i love this song thanks to my mom and her brothers they have good taste ..

  • they need 2 4 real!!!!!!!

  • Some of the greatest drumming ever in this song also.

  • @TheAntihero6212 Nice that you notice!! John Siomos is a really GREAT drummer and often over looked. But this is SOLID drumming. Stan Sheldon's bass work is stellar too.

  • One of the greatest opening lines to a rock song EVAH!!!!!

  • thanks lynn

  • @daviddcurtison where was this particular Live LP done ?

  • @eurosuks San Francisco. Not sure what year in the 70's. I was a teenager and couldn't wait to get my hands on the LP. Someone may have already answered your question if so sorry to bug ya.

  • @eurosuks , taken from a lot of venues, but a large chunk is from a show at the Winterland.

  • @daviddcurtiso

    I saw him in concert SF 76' , was 16 :)

  • these dislikers did not hear this new back then

    otherwise there would be none.

    those summers were AMAZING.

  • I wz there that night center back, top balcony. High as a kite. I "peaked' and had an out of body experience during this song. She left me 2 years before. She was kind of dimming in my mind, but now it was like we were face to face again. I was putting out so much feeling, I felt rersponsible for this performance, I coudn't go to concerts any more after it. I bought the cassete when it came out. Threw it out my car window cause, none of this got her back. Made a lifesize doll of her. Paradise.

  • What a great song, "Frampton Comes Alive" is a must have for any classic rock lover, and this song is a great piece of Classic Rock, definately a solid 9, on a 1-10 scale.

  • This is just plain bitchin'!!! ...whether in '75 or right this very second in 2011. Great music is ALWAYS great music because it's timeless. And now...I'm going on another channel & listen to some more cranked u classic music like Loverboy, Foghat, 38 Special, etc.

  • love it. Just found a (poor) recording on an old cassette I listened to over and over again when I was young and thought YOU TUBE!!! Thanks.

  • Bob Mayo FTW!

  • where the hell is part 2??

  • that's funny- i had a GIRLFRIEND that looked like frampton!!

  • ピーター・フランプトン、怪物アルバム"COMES ALIVE"~"DO YOU FEEL LIKE WE DO"一番劇的にロックしたナンバー!

  • I don't care what anyone says This is good black light poster lit dark bed room with the eye of the storm Fu@king music Grab my girl. Break out the bong and the beers and lets do it again!

  • i got a KTEL LP for christmas that year, and my brother got Frampton Comes Alive...

    ...lucky bastard.

  • how awesume I love peter frampton so much so I had a boyfriend who looked like peter frampton

  • This Lp played at every house party I went to in HS

  • One of the best live albums ever recorded!! On par with Rush Exit Stage Left and Cheap Trick Live At Budokan

  • I think that the drumming in this tune is phenomenal!

  • @castlehilldude I have said the same thing!!! John Siomos is a VERY good drummer. No BS just serving the song properly

  • the first man i fall in love with has to love this song as much i do

  • and a sherman in my hand...oh,ive felt like you all did....d.c. home to the sherm sticks..great song

  • Fuck those 41 people!

  • @lmw289 lol how on earth cud any1 dislike this song aye lol unreal

  • This was a big 8-track seller.

  • @JawsJaws LOL,, I just said that exact comment on another channel. I had this 8-Track in my Jaguar and burned that tape endlessly.

  • I remember buying this as single when it was released back in 76.."Comes alive" was massive, this is one of the highlights of the album, i absolutely loved it back then and i still do today!! Gorgeous guitar solo..s

    It is uncut.

  • I had this album in my 500+ piece vinyl collection in cali!

    GR8 album!!

    :o)

  • Probably the best evocation of a LIVE album from the 1970's. Certainly the best recording by miles. It expresses the sheer joy of a generation of people who are right into whatever they are doing at that precise moment.

  • Comment removed

  • It was good to be alive in 1976.

  • @johnhowardesq Yes indeed it was!!!

  • Peter hit #10 in Billboard, 11-13-76. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! WLS-AM, of course, heavily edited the single, to fit its strict time constraints. Anybody remember 'em doin' that?

  • Great songs come when your playing "in the zone." But the best songs of all

time come when you "ARE THE ZONE!" This is one of them...

  • @MrBlueSkyMrNight Nicely put. I have heard this song a thousand times and the key change at the start never fails to give me a chill. Its like.. Ok.. here we go!! Something special is about to happen.

Pete is SO in the zone on this.

  • @roquefortfiles PISS OFF PUNK!DON'T HATE,APPRECIATE!!!!

  • por que lo cortan? por que no lo gravan continuo?

  • Possibly one of the most melodic rawk songs in history - this cut has phrasing written all over it - which is to say that it goes straight to your musical heart. So laid back and so in you - it's like you can't deny this: the song has everything.

  • 1976

  • good to know,I love the way he interacts with the audience.

  • do you feel like i do?

  • at 5:55 one of my favorite solos of all time! perfect rock distortion sound with a little bluesy sound to it! perfect!

  • MY FIRST girl gave this album!

  • One of the best albums of all time.

  • @frank787922 yeh and do you know why it was the best album of all time? cos he was english thats why!

  • My wife has B&W photos of the Frampton Comes Alive show in San Francisco. Really! Ah, to be there again, and in love...

What's wrong with being stuck in the '60s? And what's so funny about Peace, Love & Understanding?? ;-)

  • ya know alrockgitech your awesome cause as an old school peter framptom fan this is the best version of the song he lets loose and so do we. got to love the metal gods. the best is when he does the mouth organ and the crowd is loving it. do you feel the way i do ,,,,,,,,,,

  • This plus part 2 makes 13 minutes, so I'm guessing this could be the version that 's coming to Rockband 3, with Pro Guitar and Keyboard support ... can't wait!

  • Yes!!!

  • We were stoners once... and the beat goes on.

  • I love how Frampton give a shout out to Bob Mayo. Bob was one of the greatest rock and roll keyboardists.

  • reminds me of hot summers in the 70s and 80s....lol

  • Saw him in 1977 at Vet Stadium in Philly !!!!!!!!

  • This album was so popular when I was in Shaker Heights High School in the 70's, what a time for rock & roll. Love it!! takes me back.

  • Circa 1976 1:am outside Electriclady Studio's on east 8th St in NYC,Just finished with

The mixing of "Do you feel" and went up the corner to get some food.Walking back

To the Studio,All of a sudden a piece of piano wire was put around my neck and I

Was choked and robbed by 3 guy's,Just like the saying go's "I put my neck out for ya"

    Just a little trivia.

  • Peter Rocks the house baby!! Hear Peter's great voice narrate An Ox's Tale on iTunes now only 9.99! Hear about the worlds greatest bass player of all time John Entwistle......of THE WHO

    Too Awesome!

  • I was at this show at the Commack Arena. Frampton was warming up for Ten Years After. At the end when he says, "I want to see you" on the voice box, the crowd isn't cheering - they turned on the house lights and killed everybody's buzz! "ARRGH!" I remember thinking, "When is this guy gonna finish this song so Ten Years After can come on ?" Not realizing, of course, that I was witnessing Rock and Roll history at the recording of one of the best-selling records ever! Shows you what I know.

  • @BassGuyGG This song was recorded in New York!

  • @roquefortfiles if memory serves me correctly, this was recorded at Winterland in San Francisco

  • @sirwob Nope!! Everyone thinks it is and the bulk of the record WAS recorded at Winterland YES. But DYFLWD and one or two others were done in New York.

  • @roquefortfiles always appreciate learning new trivia,ty

  • @sirwob I am gettin really in to the "Day on the Green" version on here. I think that smokes. He is just kickin ass on that solo. Wish the entire song was posted and not just the condensed version. I wish he played it like this NOW but he jazzes it up a bit too much for me.. Its his big showpiece so he has to for the audiences these days. I like it back in the day (here) when it was simply straight ahead no messing around. Flat out.

  • @roquefortfiles my "Days on the Green" were Oakland Colisium, yours?

  • @sirwob

This song was recorded live at the State University of New York (SUNY) on November 22, 1975, to be exact (if you care).

  • HELL! i was 13, and working in 'kings the butchers' in taunton, when i first heard this, it was played on the DLT's tea time show, thought it was fantastic then, and still do , along with real music of the day , thanx pete!! youve made a happy man very old!!! ;)

  • 39 People Fail at Feeling Like We Do.

  • @tigerDJ36322 cant please 'em all the time! eh ?

  • I played this at a guitar recital and i posted it on YouTube (see video responses). I then sent it to Peter Frampton from a link on his website, and he responded saying he liked it! He watched it! Please watch, rate, comment and subscribe!
