I'm 49... I've been playing them since I was about 17. Met them a few times down at "Good Earth" studios in Dean Street... Lovely blokes. I will NEVER get bored of them... Off to see Supertramp in 2 weeks time at The Royal Albert Hall - woo hoo...!!
@adjusteratlarge- i quite agree- timeless and ahead of its time. I just stumbled upon this today and had not listened to their music for ages- the vinyl is in storage somewhere. I was trying to remember fashion when I bought this and somehow my flares and platforms don't totally go with this sound. I can even hear the driving rhythm of modern dance tracks. Also in This Town Ain't Big Enough and Amateur Hour.
@Gusdocs1 Has to be one of the best albums ever, closely followed by "Propaganda". I remember, in my mid-teens, being blown away when I played each of these albums for the first time!
@ecksact you took the words right out of my keyboard! just the same happened to me! and those two albums are my all time favs too!! i can't QUITE make up my mind which one is better..mindblowing both of them! STILL, after all this time.
@MrKittytoenails However he doesn't really like the Sparks now! Back in the seventies, he used to love them but now he thinks their music hasn't aged well. That didn't stop him from keeping this masterwork!
Great Band, I saw them in DC about 1980, awesome show. Still listen to them today, Kimono My House is one of the Best Albums I"ve ever heard, all the tracks are super, thanx for posting.
OMG. I had this album when it came out, and I do believe I was the only person I knew who had it. My friend and I used to play it over and over, singing along to the provided lyrics, and even being young girls, we had a hecka time trying to reach all those high notes! Thanks for posting :)
Kimono my house-I used to listen to the lyrics trying to figure out what story or message they were trying to say in their songs. Very weird but good.
47 & lovin it hope u do too!!

57 , and still one of my fav bands of the 70's, and still sends chills down mine spine when I hear tem.
They were not just a 70-80's band, they projected a sound that was timeless.

It is whimsical like most Sparks songs, but it is also a bit sad. The guitar at 0.45 and 1.25 is incredible.
