  • that was only his first block

  • lmao how is tht a goaltend

  • Block. Outisde. Turnover. Pass. Three Pointer. Shit.

  • he should jus catch it and start the fast break instead of swatting it out of bound n let pistons get another chance to score

  • here dwight the ball

  • He decided to go easy on Rip there

  • Now matter how cool those blocks look, real basketball fans know that's just bad team basketball. You should try to keep the ball in play and get it to your teammates for a fast break.

  • Get that shit outta my house!!!!

  • best block i've ever seen

  • 0:10 bald spot

  • he wanted to aim at the playoff sign

  • Richard Hamilton was not shot blocked...He was simply not aware that somebody can jump and stretched that high...

  • he didnt send the ball flying. the ball just ran away when it saw dwight

  • I like how it says shot "attempt"

  • The blocking hands as mutombo

    The dunking from dominique wilkins

    the defense from bruce bowen

    the strongnes from chuck norris

and the eye of the tiger

    =

    Dwight Howard

  • So sick. If howard can learn to keep the ball inbounds more often, try and block it to teammates, he'll be the modern bill russell

  • dwight howard is the most underrated person in the nba

  • @BARKING237 I voted down... i thought i would let you know that :)

  • @SPAREnoEV1L i just did what my friend asked me to do man its not personal

  • @BARKING237 no

  • Did I just watch a game of NBA Jam?

  • I've seen Dwight block it all the way into the 27th row.

  • I love you DWIGHT

  • nice pass

  • MONSTER!!!

  • What a raging blowout.

  • stuckey was like WTF where the ball goin'?

  • Still swept them in that series! RIP is boss, hope he is part of the Carmelo trade.

  • @illyasemenkov

    Booked your reply Ilya

  • You can only imagine what he would do in volleyball because there is no chance in hell he's gonna play volleyball

  • if he catches it is that a steal and a block

    or just a steal

  • @MrMarco1212 Block and rebound if its ruled as a shot attempt. Steal if its a pass

  • why he doesnt catch the ball ? ugly

  • @baryam11 its harder than u think it is...i block shots on some crazy shyt to...i always wanted to grab a shot out the air

  • NBA dude, what else is there to say?. Everyone who even touches a bball need to all know how to dunk, I only not long ago completed the workout system at "50-inch-vertical(dot)com" - and now I can dunk easily (I am merely 5'10!)

  • just catch it

  • he would dominate in volleyball

  • @scmarre Yes he would. With his height and natural leaping ability he would be scary. And I imagine he would be pretty good with his timing too when going up for spikes. But volleyball isn't as easy as you think.

  • @brucemiller526 That program is horseshit anyway. I've done it and didn't gain shit from it.

  • @brucemiller526 Fuck you.

  • " Hello my name is dwight howard. Pro nba basketball player.... What .... Free time sports ??... oh oh .. Volleyball"

  • That was EVILL haha! Howard is an ANIMAL!

  • Richard is Retard.......

  • Comment removed

  • dwight high fived the ball

  • smart

  • Good !!!!

  • thats tall man...

  • 11 ft tall rim should on for d12

  • was that necessary? why didn't he try to send the ball to a teammate? bonehead play.

  • @Mike1245690 .. well its hard to control a block =.= .... its not like you can just send it anywhere you want .. Just admit it .. it was a good block . lets see you do Jump that high and block it =.=

  • @Mike1245690

because even if you don't get possession from it, sometimes a huge block like that can fire up a team and be better in the long run. whereas if he just grabbed it or tipped it to a teammate, yeah they get possession immediately, but they're still in the same state emotionally

  • Sometimes, too much hangtime isn't really a benefit. XD

  • hey that isnt fair...:)

  • YEAH ..but that night RIP scored 32 points ...oooh yeah

  • the bad thing about dwight is...he gets so pumped up...that he sends all his blocks into the stands...wher he could just palm the off to a team mate...i always see him do it...id be sending them miles away to tho...so meh...

  • i think he just shit himself!

  • pause at 0:10 lmao look at rasheed's head

  • goaltending!lol

  • @hotcheekosz1611 its not goal tending its not yet near the ring :)

  • @dewgift no its a goal tend if its on the way down, doesnt have to be near the ring :)

(also of course if it is above the ring or has already hit the backboard)

  • @dewgift haha, FAIL.^^

  • his the who's flying not the ball !!!

  • what a huge block? noone was expecting that block. his hands are too long, lol.

  • His superhero status..

  • ohhh! dwight is superhuman!!!!!

  • hes like i got it!

dwight says oh no u dont!

    block!

  • oh em gee!!!

  • i think he passed the ball to dwight

  • @freshnikes3444 :D maybe but how can you go around that big fellow??? You gotta be michael jordan to do that!!

  • dwight dont even smack the ball that hard he jus strong as hell

  • rip thought it was sweet , huh lol

  • I agree, centers now days try to spike the basketball out of bounds when blocking a shot.

But that is to send a message saying "GET THAT WEAK STUFF OUTA HERE"

As opposed to a tap to alter the balls direction to keep it in play.

  • It not only sends that message but it makes the smaller guys think "oh I'm gonna have to try something fancy to get around this tall guy!" And 9 out of 10 times they fail with the fancy stuff

  • Daonly?

    Daonly one sucking dick.

  • A Real Center Like Russell Would Block it and keep it in bounds to a team mate not try to make highlights, bet the pistons scored on the following play!

  • what a block.

    suppaman

  • your gonna shoot with me 2m away from u get that shit outta here

  • thats not even fair

  • there's chuck noriss's super kick and D. Howard's super block

  • DAMN DWIGHT

  • he is undoubtedly the best center in nba

  • super good block however, according to bill russell, that block did nothing good for his team simply because they didnt gain any advantage ( say, take the possesion away) russell wouldve blocked it to his teammates or catch it himself ..... too bad D.Howard just aint a smart enough player ...

  • True, but that there is a statement block.

  • haha yeh i agree. that was a schoolyard block when niggas are out playing street ball.

  • yes but this provides momentum to the other players and on Detroit they are scared to drive to the rack so his block means a lot

  • Damn! 35 secs in and already has a block, he is the blocking machine

  • Now rip knows how charlie bell feels.

  • Damn, Rip needs a new mask, that one is getting old.

  • dang that ball needed a flight license..lol

  • fuck playing against him

  • get dat shit outta hea

  • Superman is in the building!

  • Thats amazing. Howard was like 6-7 feet away from Rip

  • SFSuperNatural17 thank you

  • Howard : I'm playing volleyball

  • i know rite

  • Comment removed

  • Very very Good#

  • thats the sickest block i've ever seen. its like nba streets vol wateva, dwight is insane.

  • there is 1 thing different in blocking shots than it used to be. Go look up Bill Russell and watch him block shots instead of dwight howard. They smack it out of bounds now but bill Russell made sure it got to another player or to himself. I don't know if it's better or not you decide

  • i say its better for the team but not for the highlight reel

  • That was awesome! Is he ever going to take that damn mask off? It doesn't take a few years for a nose to heal.

  • He used to use that mask to protect the nose, now he use it as a good luck charm

  • wow u idiot he got elbowed and broke his nose now he wares it cuz he thinks its good luck not for oxegyn wow u retard

  • how are u ganna tell me u fuck dumbass i have to use on to

  • he got it from the david blaine commercial cuz david blain tries to be funny but he aint

  • Comment removed

  • I'm tellin ya.Dwight can JUMP!he just burnd rip right there

  • ball wasnt on the way down

  • but it reached it's maxium height...

  • not to seem like a tool but:

"In basketball, goaltending is the violation of interfering with the ball when it is on its way to the basket and it is (a) in its downward flight, (b) entirely above the rim and has the possibility of entering the basket, and (c) not touching the rim."

so seeing that it wasnt on the way down....it was legit

  • his a monster in disguise

  • the amazing thing is that block could even be considered goaltending when hes that far away from the basket. just shows what kind of freak of nature he is

  • i like to do that in nba street on game cube or on nba homecourt on 360

  • do you even know what goal tending is

  • I hate when shots are blocked like that. Just catch or block pass it to your team mates. Pistons get the ball back. D howard could learn a lot from Bill Russel.

  • lol but it gets the crowd super hype, and that builds momentum, thats good at the beginning of the game.. also did u notice he did it on the first play of the game? lol

  • listen to the crowd before the block and right after the block. big difference. those kinds of blocks build momentum

  • heythisisbert your hilarious. i totally agree. rip hamiltons a bigger baller than dwight anyday.

  • even though I'm a piston fan this was very impressive by superman.

  • Howard sucks ass anyways... Congratulations, you blocked the ball out of bounds, you gave the other team another chance to set up and shoot again... Way to do nothing beneficial on defense at all...

  • Comment removed

  • I don't know what this rotter dude is talking about, but I think a quadruple double is a hell of a lot harder than a single block... wrong again

  • blocking the ball out of court gives the defence time to set up and he wore down the shot clock. he also gave the pistons pressure throwing in the inbounds and he intimidated the offence.

    Nothing beneficial my ass!

  • depends on the squad, dawg... I seen so many times where he blocks a shot out of bounds, so the other team says fuck it, and rains down 3s... A big man on the inside is cool and shit, but he can't help shit for a team with 3 good perimeter shooters

  • i agree.. shot blockers in d NBA only want attention nowadays.. unlike the past greatest centers who just put their hands up to block a shot

  • Alright, I guess this is the last time I'll be posting here because I've already spent too much time addressing something I actually don't care about. But let's get real about some things. Is Dwight Howard good? yeah. Is he a top 5 center? Absolutely. Would I rather pay 2 great role playing fowards and a guard for his salary? Absolutely... If I were the magic, Id have dumped howard, and picked up villanueva, gordon, and rasheed, and resigned Gortat... A better team, minus the "star"

  • sounds fair, but try to find a deal like that to begin with, almost impossible, except in the rare case of shaq/lakers/heat trade. and we all remember how that turned out, but/and that trade doesn't even close to what you're asking for, talent wise/rarity. but yea, Gortat is extremely important, i'd say best backup center in the league.

  • i dunno, it's all about dumping salary nowadays. And do I think a team like detroit, who just picked up a forward and guard, with ownership that has the money, wouldn't turn around and make this deal? I mean, they wouldn't do it (I think) but still, there's always a deal that can be spun

  • and Gortat can probably start for nearly any team in the league, so I feel you there

  • Dude instead of doing that they got Vince Carter and Brandon Bass, do you think that was a bad idea?

  • Hm... I live in the dirrrrty jerz, and I've seen VC get old and watch his knees go once or twice, so he may just have his Kevin Garnett moment this season and get hurt pretty bad, but we'll see.. I just don't think he's gonna be that great there, and I think he's been overrated for the past couple years... and this Bass guy? never heard of him, so who knows

  • 15wildman

Pau Gasol is PF and Bynum is C

  • this is true and cant have the list of other C's without mentioning Derek Lee...he is elite

  • who the crap is derek lee? is that like the hybrid offspring of derek fisher and david lee?

  • HAHAHAHA as a matter of fact it is...or it could just be interpreted as David Lee (my bad, just got through with my Cubs e blog when i wrote that one...good eye though

    0

  • haha, never seen u comneted on a bball vid before. didnt knew u were a bball fan

  • he get his blocks but he get alot of goal tends too i think he go for the block too much

  • travelled anyway..

  • why is always Rip hamilton getting swatted lol?

  • Lol its pretty funny because rasheed dunks on Dwight the next possession

  • if shaq went to orlando then dwight or shaq wouldnt be startin, dwight wouldnt play PF

  • Dwight CAN play Power Forward...and would probably make a better PF than a Center...like Duncan/Robinson in 99. im hopeing they get Rasheed Wallace now though...sheed would be even better than Shaq...

    iLL .

  • Shaq should have went to Orlando instead of Cleveland...Shaq, Dwight, Lewis, Turk = Ring, No Questions Asked. i bet any amount of money he doesnt win it with Cleveland next year..

    iLL .

  • shaq would just slow them down even more

  • wherever Shaq goes, open shots follow...since he instantly gets doubled nomatter what...leaving Lewis/Carter/Turk open for business from 3 pt land. like said tho, im hopeing they get Sheed now..he would be an even better piece to the puzzle.

    iLL .

  • hell yea we need 2 big men our team can't rebound for shit and we can't just let dwight get 20 rebounds a game. we need sheed.

  • yea get that SHIT outta here

  • Don't get me wrong, Orlando is my favorite team, and my hometown, but I think Howard is a bit overrated. He's a good player, but he's not a superstar, not Superman, at least not yet. The finals showed that, and it seemed like Turkoglu and Lewis made the clutch shots, but hope they keep the same team, and come back next year

  • he's not overrated. he's just rated much higher than the garbage centers left in the league. i'm c'on, what other centers are there? an aging shaq? prospects like bynum and bargnani getting by off the labor of their teammates? players like noah and schola who SHOULD be playing pf. let's not for get about those dinosours like dampier and kwame brown who are practically stealing money from their perpsective team owners? dwight could only improve to set himself further away from the pack.

  • Yeah, I will agree with that. Compared to other centers, he's great. He had the most blocks in the league, followed only by Chris Andersen. It's just that I wouldn't call him a superstar yet. Shaq is old, but he's still nowhere near his status yet in my opinion. He is still young tho

  • shaq was inducted into the nba's top 50 greatest players. no center since his debute, could ever hold a candle to that honor. as far as dwight, he has time on his side.

  • -.- there's kareem, chamberlain and plenty of other centers yea. dwight has plenty of potential, he will be one of the hall-of-famers someday.

  • either way, if I was GM of a ball club I would take Dwight Howard over any other Centre.

  • center, and me too

  • oh yeah, thanks

  • The "other" centers:

Yao Ming Tim Duncan Marcus Camby Mehmet Okur Andrew Bogut Shaquille O'Neal Samuel Dalembert Zydrunas Illgauskas ZaZa Pachulia Brad Miller

    Pau Gasol

  • even though its awesome seeing dwight stuff the ball.. it still goes to the same team that had it last posession so, why not just grab it, or tip it to ur teammate jeez.

  • bmx149. mybrute. com register

  • bmx149. mybrute. com

  • dwight howard will help orlando take it next season..

  • yah exactly bashmo..
