Back then he was already producing great music. Otherwise Joachim Garraud would not ask him for a remix :) And BTW i don't use FL but i really respect people who can make good music (great music in this case) with modest setup. Music is about creativity and many of the greatest tracks were made with less than FL offers today. Even the most expensive software and hardware cannot make good music on their own :)
@GoldenArc its is good to know how to use every daw it makes you able to go from studio to studio and work with other plp only daw i dont know how to use is reasons i use fl to do loops maschine for constructing a beat ableton to lay the beat out and logic to master it it works for me
Wow! This proves once more that you don't need the latest-super-duper plugin or that $3000 synth to make great electronic music. Laidback Luke makes some of the loudest and strongest tracks on the market today... with a laptop and headphones! Whaaaat?
people are so quick to hop on the bandwagon to hate fl and believe all the negativity surrounding it. laidback luke uses it, Deadmau5 uses it, and they both make more money than you per year.
@117DJAckson youre the obvious tard. hes using it right here can you not see that? who cares if he switched over he used it at one point and deadmau5 even has a demo track made in fl studio he has stated it in interviews that he uses it. hop off abletons dick
it's simple to produce it could be done all what we need is a higher laptop and a professionel pci two amazing synté and finich it with a modest statik microphone some like akg or somthing also have the best plugings but the you gay laughting cos you don't know anyting about producing if you did you wouldn't say you saw a lot of home studios maybe but you don't know how to use anything you say that was mix i know why the little mix is there ,it's just to conect the microphone with the pci
@Plamen2007 he always replys man he helps anyone and everyone out as much as possible! the house scene needs more peopl elike luke hes a great guy! hes guided many people through the use of his forum.
so surprised... I thought that Luke had a large studio with a lot of keybords and machines for making sounds... no, just his laptop! But this guy is a genius : "i am doing 4 hours to make a track or a remix..." And most of this tracks are... just fantastic and played all around the world!
It doesnt matter what DAW you use, FL studio, Live, Pro Tools. All they are is a platform to build and mould your ideas upon, and you should use which ever platform suits your style the best.
Every electronic music can be produced with any program, more important are the skills and creativity of the producer.
But because FL studio is pattern based, it suits the repetitive style of House very well, whilest Cubase is perfect for Trance, and Ableton Live for Techno.
I don't listen that much to House, (a lot to Trance though) but I have to admit, Laidback Luke is ace. It doesn't matter to me what he uses to make great music, as long as he manages to create fucking bomb tunes.
@Aquarius30 It doesn't realy have have to be pattern based and really imo trance is just as or more repeditive than house, you should listen to more house and see what i mean. I really think whatever program suits your work flow is probably best not which genre you are producing in.
Well, FL Studio IS pattern based..., and no, trance is not as much or more repetetive than house, because unlike House, Trance is _always_ progressive because it is defined as progressive, whilest (almost) only Progressive house is, as the title suggests, progressive.
But, yeah, your right with the "work flow", that's the main thing, but I was just saying which ones are pretty suitable for what Genres
@Aquarius30 It depends on what part of FL you'd use, the top window is basically like ableton with waves and automation (and drum patterns if want to use patterns for drums), while the bottom window is the classic FL sequencer pattern window which you dont need to use if you don't want. Using the top window would take away the pattern bassed quality about it.
Yeah trance does progress but it takes forever to progress and onced it's porgressed it repeats a loop for shit load more bars vs House
Well theoretically, but hardly anybody does because then fl studio looses its sense of being probably the best pattern based music maker, you can just as well use any other loop based software.
Not really, usually a loop gets repeated only up to three minutes, while in House basically the whole track does
@Aquarius30 you seem to know alot about a program you don't use and music you don't listen too (3 minutes is much longer than a house track repeats its loop)
I use fl studio (look at my channel, I uploaded my first track a while ago), I'm not the best at it but I know how to use it. I listen to EDM, though I prefer Trance (I've seen Sander Van Doorn, Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Above & Beyond and many more live, what about you?), I certainly listen to and know about House (Why else would I watch this video you think?).
With "basically the whole track does" I mean that the whole track is repetetive
good on him for using FL, a program with a reputation for its 'toyish' quality. clear to see thats a myth ;) its the producer no the software. I'd be well happy with that set up as it is; i've been making do with a pair of logitech speakers and a 4 year old computer.
theres no "pro" or "beginner" producing software.. its just what ur personal preference is.. some lack things where other things have but there all different in different ways.. FL is awesome and packed full to the fuckin brim of stuff
they keep this to themselves because of this unprofessional image of fruity loops. Which has also probably alot something to do with the name: fruity loops. They should have moved farther away from it then FLstudio... :P
wow, this guy is good, no wonder why he's got so many remixes out there 3-4 hours a track, thats like impossible, even joachim laughed at that, but seriously that prison cell he calls a studio, how you live like that.
