  • my icalbuddy is acting up and when I put the code into the geektool it doesn't work. :(

  • that's cool i ended up just migrating to my admin account which it worked on, I still don't know why it wouldn't let me access icalbuddy as a standard user but oh well.

  • I seem to have no permissions accessing the directory icalBuddy installed itself into -> /usr/local/bin/. That way I also have no way of running it, obviously. No clue how this seems to be working for everyone else, but how can I get around this?

  • @Kiliankoe I can't get access either, this is more than frustrating. I can't find anything that explains this issue,

  • @rover5321 Ah sorry, I did find a way to gain access a few days later, but I didn't write it down anywhere (like I usually do in case I have the same problem again). I'll look into it and keep this tab open until I find out.

  • can u add right from geektool thank very helpful video

  • would u mind just writing the script out because the script does not seem to be working for mine

  • Hey dude. I just downloaded GeekTool 3.0 and I have a couple queries. First, this version does not appear in my system preference, only as a regular app in the dock. Last, do I need to leave the application open in order to refresh the list on my desktop? Thanks

  • wat's yr font

  • The shell wont show anything how about some tips

  • I've done everything you have said on the video but the /usr/local/bin/icalBuddy eventsToday doesn't work. I just get a blank shell.

    Any idea?

I think it has something to do with /usr/local/bin

  • how do you add your tittle to your ToDo List???

  • how do I hide/remove the dot infront of the things under the to do list?

  • Is this the code to get the to do list to show up on my desktop?

    /usr/local/bin/icalBuddy uncompletedTasks | sed -e "s/*/--/" | sed -e "s/!/!!/"

I have to do's in my iCal but they aren't showing up on my desktop.

  • How do I add things to my To Do list?

  • @helloimD4NNY In iCal, go up to 'View' and click, 'show to-do list'

  • @campusbyte you should include that to the video with a annotation or something. That is very important. But you are the man!!!!!! Now I have everything I need for my desktop.
