Bout 2:31 mins in I am dancing in Red Fred Perry with Rob Marriot and Chris from Harrow. Stafford was something very special to me, worth every journey from London on wash powder coupon promotions
Jeez! I love this track and Eddie's in fine voice....however, what's wrong with the dancers and audience? They look all so fucking miserable. Dancers look like they're dancing by numbers which are on the floor.
I remember the guy with the shorts and tatoos down his legs only because he looked so different at wigan compared to everyone else!! and i also remember Ste (cant remember where hes from) but he used to make me and others laugh when he was about to spin as it looked like he was scrambling to get out of somewhere, but all in all he was a crackin lad, we use to end up talking the b*lls off a brass monkey lol.
I remember the guy with the shorts on and tatoos down his legs!!(at the Casino) just for the simple reason i thought he was a bit different!!. I can also remember Ste (the one with the white cap on and flings his arms around like hes trying to get out of somewhere!!) cant remember where hes from but he was a sound lad to get on with we often talked for hours back in the day!!!
They had some great stars there. Thought the Lorraine Chandler show was also fantastic. Was she on the same bill with Eddie Parker or was it Popcorn Wylie? My brain has gone.
Eddie Parker... a few of the biggest tunes at that time were..Mel Britt-Pyramid and Eddie Banks(?)-Nothings To Good For My Baby...
..... I can remember Eddie P's voice being spot on, but for me Lorraine was the star, always liked her anyway... one of mi' faves!! And whe she got the guys off the dancefloor on as a backing group.... funny, but fab! What a voice.... she'd been cleaning or secretarying(is that a word?) before then. Great night!
Meant to say about 1:09 into it I appear. Stafford = Soul top all for freaks on real deal

Stafford was my first Niter 1983/4. Why do the media always try to belittle the soul scene?
