  • Weller you tinker!

  • im a changing man

  • Weller did not rip this off because Weller does not have to rip anyone off. What Weller did was pay tribute to it. Thats what Weller has done through his whole career, paid tributes in his music to artists like the who, small faces, kinks, marriott, winwood, etc. there is a big difference between a rip off and a tribute. ..............Mindyou I'm a Weller fan so I'm bound to be biased, lol!!!

  • I'm seriousley not being funny but who was the idiot who suggested that we should have a quality below 360p, he should be shot and put in a basket!

    Great song by the way!

  • @legodarknight101 The person who recognised that some people still use dial up.

  • @legodarknight101 go buy CD or Vinyl if you want good quality, dumbass

  • @MegaGupka For your information I do have the CD i was only commenting on the stupidity of creating a quality below what there already was. I have the CD and love it.

  • 240p we meet again. need to find a better recording

  • elo is fucking good so don't abuse them

  • Jeff Lynn said he wanted ELO to take up were the Beatles left off, you can hear the influence, funny he ended up producing "Free as a bird" and "Real love"

  • I think Paul Weller ripped this Riff off for The Changing Man

  • Does anyone have the version with electric guitar instead of the orchestra part

  • As picasso once said, 'the good copy, the great steal'

  • Love ELO, even been to see them live - amazing group, even more amazing live ^_^

  • @rockguitar2012

    You ain't seen shit.

  • @3x10p8 Nope, I definately saw them, they were great =) I'd recommend going to see them live if you like their music!

  • Yes, this rif was ripped off by Paul Weller

  • @jenks1937

ELO nicked it from the Beatles first.

  • @3x10p8 What Beatle track has this rif in ?

  • @jenks1937 Dear Prudence- whatever anyone says about them nicking it from the beatles- they're both intensely brilliant songs.

  • @TheOneMightyOne Dear Prudence has the same falling notes in the Riff but I wouldn't call it the same. It's played on totally different chords and the pattern of the riff is different aswell - Although I love both songs.

  • @jenks1937 n paul wellers 'Peackock suit' is sh*te wheras this is sublime..

  • I've heard a similar tune to this, and can't put my finger on it.

  • @phil1958uk The similar tune is called "The Changingman" by Paul Weller, it has the same initial riff!!

  • the best is elo

    hello russia

  • love this song.....my mum calls me an old soul because i'm only 15 (well 16 in september) and love all the old stuff like music and tv programmes...XD

  • @lycanwichmark21

I hope your mom doesn't actually believe in souls.

  • Made while ELO were still a good band......before they became a bag o' shite in the 80s.

  • The placement of this song in the episode was amazing.

  • sweet song

  • fantastic!!!!!

  • You can't tell Roy Wood is involved in this track can you (in a very good way)?

  • He plays cello ,french horn ,guitar and sings doesnt he?

  • I think he even made the sandwiches. A very impressive musician.

  • When he started playing all the instruments on his records he said he needed a recording console with a bed attached.

  • I have never been an ELO fan, but this song still gives my goose bumps.

  • You gotta love the cellos.

Absolutely brilliant. Raw and mighty, yet beautiful.

  • You know the line where he sings: Did his life flash by at the bedroom door? Before I found the actual lyrics for 10538, I always thought that the line was: Did his life flash by at the natural dawn!

  • Absolutely brilliant! I wish I'd lived through the 1970s, for all the 3 day weeks, Enoch Powell being a fool, British Leyland strikes and power cuts....but I've been told the food was a bit wholesome if unhealthy!

  • enoch was a facist

  • I don't think he was necessarily a fascist, IMHO. He was known to have consistently voted against reintroducing the death penalty and the like. There was a good program about it on Channel 4 recently with Rageeh Omar. They came to the conclusion that while his speech wasn't necessarily the right choice of words, he was able to foster a lot of healthy debate about it.

  • I was being relatively flippant-sorry-Im sure there was more to his personality as yorightly suggest.

  • roy wood was in elo?

  • Of course

  • early on yes but not resonsible for the great sounds of mid to late seventies.

  • early on yes but not resonsible for the great sounds of mid to late seventies.

  • oh well im only 13

  • Not as rare as Jeff Lynne!

  • roy wood was and still is a very rare talent
