Forget the Joystick, drive it like a pro using the shifters, I was 8 years old driving a 40footer backing into a slip with two 2 mill dollars yachts on either side in 20 MPH winds. This shits to easy exactly man... let the kid feel nervous trying to dock without the joystick he would be better to make man out of him put some hair on his chest lol
nice job kid i need to invest in one of them for my yacht would make me less freaked out every time i try to dock my 65 footer do you need bow thrusters for that system to work because sadly i havent any
Letting a six year old dock and undock a boat that big and powerful is stupid and dangerous. people have died from doing this. Please stop being this dumb
Sea Ray and Erwin Marine Sales actually hosted a contest for kids driving and docking this very boat using the Axius Joystick Docking System proving how easy, safe and simple it is to use. This video was taken at this demo event. Landon was being supervised by expert captains, including his father. Landon has had more time at the helm than many adults. He has learned respect for the vessel and property, a lesson many boaters have not learned but should.
@Jmags25 Its not all about the age of the captain. Sometimes you need to look at the experience. I've seen your comments on a couple different videos. You may want to keep that in mind when posting. Some people/kids grow up on the water and have a lot of experience.
@Jmags25 Jmag....please cite your sources of your claim "people have died"...this kid was fully supervised by an adult and is going as slow as a snail
@Jmags25 People have died from docking boats? You are a dumbass. There is nothing wrong with teaching kids how to safely operate boats. What if he is out with his Dad or family and something happens to them? He knows how to get the boat back to the dock safely.
@Jmags25 Yeah, he was on the edge there, going about 1mph! I think the adult supervision was doing very well. Most deaths while docking probably involve alcohol.
thats really impresive!! im thirteen and my father tought me how to dock and oull out in my 31 foot sea ray the only bad part is that we have to go in backwards but ya reall cool im making a vid on it in a couple weeks so il make i as a video response to thiss
If I do it better, do I get one free?

@arickosmo You could do it better! That's the point. It's so easy a child can do it.

Kids are good at this because of all the video games they play, their lives revolve around gaming controllers. Just another video game for them.
