If you want to be accurate you'll capo to the third fret, which puts it in the proper key of "F". Then you play D, G, A7. However, I do like it transposed to "G". Sound good.
I just downloaded this version from the movie track off i tunes about a week ago because I figured it would be easy to learn. After a few days of struggling I found this lesson and It all make sense now. Awesome lesson! Thanks for posting!
Thanks a lot bro..I've been working on this piece for a while now. I've gotten pretty far on my own but there were some parts that I was stuck on. Again, thanks.
@Grumlouze Sorry man, I don't have the tabs for this one, I just picked it up by ear. I think there's a tab book available for the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack though.
@Joemackus A tab in the video might be useful because some parts are a bit confusing, but great video anyway, wanted to learn this song for so much time!
Great video, very informative. I have my own version in D but I really like yours.

Great stuff, but i prefer DAGDAD tuning, sounds a lot bluesier, but this is cool, don't have to lose time on tuning :)

Nice Joe! I have been trying to learn this song and there wasn't a good instructional video to found until this one.
Great stuff my friend, my D-28 is sounding excellent with this.
What guitar are you playing there?

@1USAFVET Thanks! Glad I could help! That's a Washburn D-10 ceq/sb I just picked up used a few weeks ago, I'm loving playing it.
